As the train pulled into the Framingham station this evening, the conductor announced that there would be a one-hour delay. A number of people popped out to eat. I asked the conductor if the train would still be there if I popped out to grab a coffee. He said, "Absolutely" and asked if I could get him a coffee too. Taking his $2, I headed off

Well, "knew." There are only so many people who take the reverse commute. Same conductors, same people every day. We're like a large family of traveling gypsies. I was on a first name basis with the guy across from me, and I was fetching him a bottle of peach Nestea. =)
