I just tore most of my toenail off my big toe. There's blood, and pain, and all that. Not a lot of blood or anything, but still. I stepped across my right foot with my left for some reason, and snagged the toenail with my footwear (I'm wearing teva-like sandals today).

Sonuva...

I concur! Um... I'm thinking it'd have to be Thursday or Friday (or the weekend too, that almost always works for me). Thoughts?

I thought I was doing a good job at the trimming, since the Amt doth make it worse when they be long. Ironically, it's the Amt that had lead to the damaged nail that's all thick and cracked, thus prone to more severe breaking. Like today. Or something.

When it happened at least it was fast. I had time to take a quick breath, and think "that's going to hurt here in a few moments...". Which it promptly did.

suckage man. yeah, glad it was quick. when I had mine removed I was real careful to prevent any infection by soaking in water 2 times a day, we did a permanent removal, for the non permanent nail removal the doctor would have prescribed water soak one time a day, for 15-20 minutes, for first week or 2.

as much as you can, keep your foot not in a shoe or sock, so when you get home, take off shoes and socks, also, make sure feet are real dry before putting on socks.
use a little bacitracin in a cloth bandage that breathes easily when you do have to wear socks & shoes.
