No one will ever replace Lu in my heart. But it's time to move on. After meeting them on Monday, I adopted two kitties yesterday, and I have to say the Animal Rescue and Care Fund did a bang up job, not only delivering the cats to my door without an adoption fee, but with a starter kit including food, carrier cases, and toys. Beautiful kitties! Mr. Pants looks a bit like Siren did.

Reading back it seems you lost your Lu around the time we lost our Bacchus. It's so hard saying good bye to such a wonderful friend and family member. I'm still not ready for new kitty, although Gela is!!

Anyway! Yay for new furry babies!! :)

Ohno, Mr. B. was a hell cat too the bitter end :) Total asshole, hated most people but that's why I loved him. Nick and I were actually terrified that he would hurt Gela when she was born and I don't know how many conversations we had about how "if he hurts the baby he's OUT" before Gela actually arrived. But he LOVED Gela. He was so sweet and loving with her, let her crawl all over him, pull his tail and ears and he never snapped or scratched or hissed at her once. He would sleep with her in her crib and right next to her in bed with us. He was a totally different cat with her. It was amazing ( ... )
