Two months ago I saw my neighbor cleaning the basement of the apartment complex and he had mentioned that in the summer mice and la coocarachas appear. Surely enough I saw one crawling by the heater while I was chatting on the phone. After my phone conversation, I cleaned out the cupboard: washed all the dishes, threw out open perishable goods

If you see one cockroach that means there's probably hundreds somewhere inside the walls/appliances. They can live off of hair, skin cells, and grease/food spots. I had cockroaches and mice in Flushing, fun stuff.
