I've never had satellite, but I would think it'd be similar to hook up as cable. Or not. Heh. Here are a couple of links that might help you out.
If you haven't done your taxes yet, irs.gov has some links to free e-filing places. They all have different qualifying factors, but I'd think there'd be something for you. I used Turbo Tax this year, Tax Act in the past -- both are super easy to use and make it so you don't pull out quite ALL of your hair trying to figure out the directions. ;)
Well, I got the VCR thing worked out, but it's not all good. I was poking around Best Buy's website and I found out that they offer a single component hook-up service. (Meaning they'll hook up one device (DVD, VCR, etc.) to your pre-existing entertainment system.) It cost me $100, which I'll grant you, isn't cheap, but I didn't see that I had any alternative, since I was sure as hell not going to figure it out on my own. They sent out 2 guys who set it up in like 5 or 10 minutes (and even managed to eliminate 2 of the cables I was using to hook various things together), but they explained to me that with satellite, the box has to be tuned to the station you want to record, which of course means that I can't record one show while watching another, nor can I record multiple shows while I'm out (unless of course they're on the same station). They told me that to do that, I would need a DVR satellite receiver, which I had decided against when I ordered the satellite hook-up, in part because it costs an extra $6 a month (OK, maybe I'm a
