Money Tree
My Money Tree is growing like a mofo, 7 new shoots! this makes me really excited. My last money tree died the week I got laid off, and totally reflected my financial situation (stunting and sudden death!). It's probably just the Spring and perhaps I read to much into this shit but man good good.

My mother recently phoned me to tell me that I may not have a black thumb.. She thinks it still has potential to be green: she had given me a huge money tree (4' high?) that died not long after it got here. I recently gave her back the big planter and when she emptied the soil out of it, she discovered that that bottom was all blocked so the water hadn't drained and the roots rotted. So I'm not to blame for the tree's death.
I love gardening but lately I'm a little skeptical about my abilities (or lack of). My aloe vera isn't doing too well -- it's a succulent, dang it! -- but I'm planning to get plants for our new place and am hoping for the best!
