Fly your flag tomorrow

Sep 13, 2001 17:02

You can't find anymore flags to buy around this area. Two flights left Boise today- that was it. Nothing came in. The RED CROSS won't take my blood because I don't weigh 110 lbs. But they took me money which is just as good or better. Wonderful to hear of the support coming from so many countries in every way for the US. Many heroes we have and ( Read more... )

There really aren`t any places to get flags here either. I really wish my school would have a gathering of students and fly the school flag . . . maybe go over the situation a bit, and sing some songs and show our support. I`ll be there with those little flags decorating my hair ( ... )

Say what you WANT to say on YOUR LJ. You have every right... Americans still have FREEDOM of speech don't they?

I am really wary about what is going on with the FBI's investigations.... the terrorists DID leave a basic paper trail leading to them... isn't that a bit TOO obvious??? Or are they that stupid??
I cannot believe that more terrorists were apprehended.... is it really safe to fly?
I'm physically ill about what is happening... and has happened to those poor people. My heart hurts as well.
Plus lets not even get into the whole fear thing....
what was supposed to be a joyous countdown for me to go home... finally after over a year of not seeing my family... I'm dreading... because of the FLYING aspect of things. 5 weeks... is that enough time to feel safe? However...I have no doubt I WANT to go home...
I would suggest to airport security everywhere... background checks... searches until they can search no more... oh and SO much more...

I am of the opinion that evidence left behind by the terrorists was an arrogant calling card. Most bragged about it the night before it happened as they drank, ate and partyied in stripper bars. Total pigs. It's up to you if you are going to fly home- it's a long boat ride! Ships can be taken over too. Two suspected terrorists were captured on a cruise ship yesterday. Three airline employees in Pheonix made it aboard a plane using no ID and carrying small knives and a corkscrew- they immediately notified security that they were able to do so. Lots of holes still. Love Aussies- they interviewed one Aussie man that made it out of one of the WTC towers from the 82nd floor- dragging people along on both his arms down the still standing stairwells! Amazing stories like these help us all. You're right- so much continual news- I'm on overload!

I'm just not sure what to do... I'm taking things one day at a time. Some folks think that flying is quite safe... a few of my flight attendant friends... others are not so sure... (like me... who was never too crazy about flying in the first place ( ... )

You'll get home! And I have been told of my over-reaction myself- screw 'em. At least I have emotions. So many folks could care less it's sickening- maybe it's just the laid back area I live in. Most Americans are united though. Even if they aren't in the States.
