So, I pass 100% here. That's wierd. It's good, but wierd. In Minnesota my friends mostly see me as a tranny first, then a guy. Here people just see me as a guy, and then if I'm out to them, as a tranny. This is totally different. Everything I say or explain about being a tranny is percieved as coming from this guy who happens to be ( Read more... )

At least you're batting 500- pretty damn good!

Goodluck with the move. If you need to can you crash with J?

Passing is wierd. I've been slowly learning that most people at work don't know I'm trans. Now that I'm kind of aware of that it's made the explanation of why I had surgery a little easier.

At any rate they say it takes at least a year to get to know a place so you're doing pretty well and you've got someone there with you which is generally a good thing.

Having J here is a very good thing. I'm really glad I didn't have to move across the country totally by myself. As far as the moving thing goes I couldn't really crash with J for more than a couple of days. With the church providing his housing and all it really wouldn't be ok for me to move in.

I figured you couldn't move in but I didn't know how a temporary- untilo you found something thing would work. This is gonna sound wierd but I forgot he's not Quaker. How odd ;)

You'll find somewhere. I have absolute faith in that. Hell if I can find a place to live in a weekend in a town I've never spent more than a day in you can find a place. The perfect place is out there just waiting to be discovered.

Re: the accident See: previous post. I tripped in the middle of the street and fell on my face on day 6 of being in CA. How is/was the conference?? I'm so jealous, I really wanted to go!

Oh it was great and I got into all sorts of the trouble that I like to get into. There were 450 participants this year including a couple of dozen SOs and at least 70 openly GQ-IDed folks. There were two variety shows, a dance and a play party...oh and about 50 billion workshops.

I made out with 6 men! Yikes! At some point at the end I exclaimed "hey, I'm a slut!"

What else...I saw old friends and were are all a bit hairier in some places and some like me balder in others. My friend AK is even going grey. I also hung out with this wonderfully crazy cajun guy (sporting a mullet haircut no less) and a couple of spiffy mtf ladies.

You big slut! While I am jealous, I'm really happy that you got to go. There's a bit of a tranny drought here. I suppose my moving here is kind of the opposite of your experience moving from AK to MN. I went from being surrounded by trans folks to knowing one or two, and you went from 0 trans folks to being surrounded by them. Either way it's pretty jarring.
