I hate hearing so many people saying that he was selfish and that suicide is the most selfish thing a person can do. I tried explaining to someone that when you feel that terrible, you don't think that your death will matter to anyone or you even think that it would be better for them if you weren't around anymore. I get tired of people saying that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Sometimes, maybe. Other times, the problem isn't temporary; sometimes the problem has been going on for years. Robin Williams was 63 years old and had been dealing with mental illness basically his whole life. I wouldn't call that temporary.
