Boston Pride Parade was wet (rainy!) but made of win.

Every time we turned a corner, we got cheers and waves, whistles and dances.

At least two churches rang their bells for those walking. My eyes were filled with happy tears for much of the way.

That was so amazingly wonderful. Love and joy everywhere.

So I take it from the tags that you were marching with the UU contingent? Awesome!

Yep! Our UU church is a Welcoming Congregation (openly welcoming to all genders and orientations) - so we put together a group to go to Pride. There were 6 or 7 different UU groups all together, and it was a lot of fun. I got a big hug from someone on the sides of the March who said, "Thanks for being a religion who loves people!" :)

Today was the Long Island pride parade but I didn't go because I was too hungover and was still in NYC. I want to go to the NYC one though on the 27th. Did you take pictures?

It was so rainy, I didn't want to risk my camera getting ruined, so we only got a few photos from before it rained. I know folks from my church took a TON of photos - so when/if those become publicly shared, I'll link you to them!

There are probably lots of photos on boston.com, though. There were so many newspapers and such taking photos.

The first photo gives you a scale of the rain - it was pouring. Made the whole thing a bit more fun!
