Well, it was confirmed publicly today that Jimmy died of drugs and alcohol, possibly complicated by a preexisting heart condition. :( RIP Jimmy. Love and hugs to Leana and everyone else he called family.

December 28th, he was found dead at home right before they were to begin recording the new album. :( They got Mike Portnoy (his hero) from Dream Theater to fill in on drums for the album, and he's also going on tour with them this summer.

It's still hard to even read any interviews with them. I read one with Syn and Matt in Metal Hammer (?) recently that was absolutely heartbreaking. They were talking about how they'll always keep space in any pictures taken for Jimmy to fit in the picture. Reading Syn's dad's posts on Twitter and Facebook are hard, too. :(
