It sure was hot yesterday. Such an unpleasant dry heat, too. It must have really gotten to me, because I can't remember a single thing that happened all day.

Damn, what a headache.

I have no idea what you're talking about. People probably made total fools of themselves, delirious with the heat and all. Probably did all kinds of ridiculous things.
