Oooh, Fred... alive again? *sigh* ripperspet January 25 2010, 22:45:37 UTC
That would just be... well, ALMOST perfect. It'd be perfect if there was some way for Wesley to return, as well. (That scene just broke my heart! *sniff, sniff*)
But, if she has to have a replacement love... Spike will definitely 'fit the bill'. He always had such a soft spot for her. *sigh*
This is wonderful! More please! *grin* Ripper

P.S. Blue calls her inner Fred "the Burkle"... too funny. Absolutely perfect!

The Burkle makes me laugh, too.
Poor Wesley. I suspect Spike liked him quite a lot and was hurt when he died.
I'm glad you're enjoying this one.

I'm so glad you're posting this on LJ! The rural Yucatan setting is wonderful; very dreamlike and poetic.

Also poetic is this part:

Lines in the earth:
Ley lines, the spark said, ley lines have power.

I just love that concept! And I like their plan to let Fred have the daylight hours and Illyria have the night.

Hey Socky. Glad you've found it on here. I've been sweating over this one and thumping the parts into place. I had to go back and tweak it slightly to have it make some manner of sense, so there may be differences from the first version. Let me know if you see any gaping holes.
