The Moore house was a fun-fair of blood, gore and slaughter. As she picked her way into the living room, Devony couldn't believe an Elder had done this, the showmanship was just...too excessive, like a child trying to prove themselves

There was a lot in that scene, but I wanted to capture at least some of it. I wouldn't say it was awesome writing or anything, but it was good sceneage.

Dialogue always sounds less polished when you write it on the spot in a real-time scene, rather than straight for livejournal. It was indeed good sceneage, looking forward to the next chapter of El Cuento del Cabron.
