Okay, my mom came home last Thursday and I could tell something was wrong. I asked her what had happened and she replied nothing had happened to her, but something horrible had indeed occurred

Oh don't worry about that, mom is the manager over both sections the two worked in so no one is mad at her for helping the girl, it's part of her job. A couple of the assholes have asked which store the girl is transferring to though :( They didn't ask mom, they asked other people on the front (cashiers and such) and those people didn't know any better so it's already all over the store where the girl is most likely going. She wanted to go back to the store closest to her family in Brooklyn, but the guy apparently has family right there close to that store too so she's been warned (by his thuggish friends) she best not go there. I feel so bad for her, she's got a kid and she's just trying to get by so this bullshit is the last thing she needed

I'd *strongly* suggest the staff who worked with both these people get seen for counseling. If they're blaming anyone for it, particularly. RED FLAG DELUXE.
We get bi-yearly sexual harrassment training here. It includes dealing with violence in the workplace, and this definitely qualifies.
Oh I totally agree, but this store is having so many problems (lots of firings in a short period of time, mostly management) this is most likely the least of their worries :( The manager is convinced the guy's friends won't go after the girl, but he was wrong about the guy so I'm afraid the worst might be yet to come. Hopefully I'm wrong.

To tell you the truth I was really young and stupid (18 at the time) and I wasn't scared, I laughed. I've always laughed at awkward times though so maybe it was more of a nervous laugh. I told him I didn't think he was serious, that the gun probably wasn't loaded. He sat down and cried saying he was going to kill himself if I didn't come back to him.
It didn't take him too long to get over me though. I moved back home to Texas not long after that incident and he married my ex-best friend just 2 months later.
