The crystalline sound of glasses shivering together

Dec 29, 2008 01:24

So, if my friendslist is any indication, it's about time for an obligatory Christmas post. I'll likely do exams and whatever else springs to mind later because when my entries get all epic I don't write them very often. (After writing: this is massively detailed partly for my own records. By all means skim or skip.)

-Mass market edition of Cursor's Fury because I'm collecting the Codex Alera by Jim Butcher. (Go read all of his stuff right now. Yes, you.)

I am WORKING ON IT. Actually I'm making a note to save enough money to buy the rest of these as I require them, so your present is actually (once again) going to eat all of my disposable income for a semester :P And I'm very glad you liked the earrings.

Also, late though it is, joie for the holidays :)

Heh, that was addressed to everyone because I shamelessly pimp Butcher all around.

I hope you like the series: I'm sorry to eat your money, but hey, it was fun last time. :P And of course I love the earrings because you have great taste.

Joie to you as well, especially on your anniversary. :)

I just caught your comment title, and it's quite the lovely image. Good choice.

I don't mind your contagious addictions eating all my money; I can think of worse things to spend it on.

I hope I manage to make our anniversary all sparkly and wonderful *crosses fingers*

Good, because I like picking up your addictions and spending money- I suspect that Fiona Patton is next.

I'll cross my fingers with you, because you everyone should have a great anniversary.

Erin Moir? How is she? Last I heard she had forsaken the cello and had picked up the guitar. If not Moir, then, um, ignore this bit.

Old friends not being so friendly anymore is always sad, even if part of my brain is all, well at least I don't have to get them a birthday present...

The flowers bit is nice, also.

That's Erin Moir- I don't think she's really doing music anymore, but she seems to be enjoying crazy college life at Oberlin. She's majoring in chemistry and I forget what else, but I think she likes her classes and her friends.

Yeah...Carol is really fun to talk to but the conversation needs to be moving already and Lisl and I barely have anything in common anymore. I do miss how close we all used to be, but a depressing bit of me points out that lot of high school friendships just sort erode as everyone moves on and changes.

Heh, I really liked the flowers- thank you.

Are you the owner of ranna_sleep on Photobucket? I did a Google search for the Photobucket owner and your journal came up as mentioning the account. I hope you are.

See this icon I am using in your comment? I see you've uploaded it here:

This icon was a gift to me by a dear friend and I really would appreciate it if you took it down. It's not intended for public usage. If you didn't know and you got the icon from someone else, please tell me where you got it from and I will ask them to take down the icon as well.

Thank you and sorry for the trouble!

I'm so sorry- I think I saw in it some mass of ljsecret comments weeks ago and just grabbed it when I went to the profile and saw no comments saying to not grab it. I wish I could remember which number or page it was, but I'm sad to say it's been a while. I haven't used it as an icon anywhere, since I'm generally uncomfortable using ones where I don't know the origins (I tend to save them and look at them later), but I will take it down.

That said, how did you find my photobucket to browse it to begin with? I've been getting odd comments on various albums from people I've never heard of and who won't identify themselves: this seems like a good way to find out how people are tracking the album down, since it's only listed on this profile and I've got a fairly small pool of friends.
