Did a birthday somehow change me or is it just another day?

Feb 26, 2007 20:53

My birthday was February 23 and now I'm eighteen. I keep poking the corners of my mind to see if I feel any different and can't decide if I do or not. Sometimes I could swear that there's something extra in my head: a measure of calm, perhaps, but in the next moment I'm just seventeen with a few extra days attached. I've had an interesting month, ( Read more... )

Aw, happy birthday, Laura. <3

I love Rent, although I do consider it pretty fluffy. I cried the first time I watched it. =P

I can't remember the last time I actually cried during a movie, but I did mist up a little in a few places. Fluff normally isn't my thing, but the music was great and I loved the characters.

happy birthday you are now only a year behind me! it's almost like catching up!

prime numbers, astronomical birthday presents, and Gaiman literature=much <3 I've read Smoke and Mirrors (and by 'read' I mean 'bought for my boyfriend for his birthday') and it is indeed quite good.

I wanna come visit you~ Do you have spring break plans?

ps I am a liar; I was thinking of Sandman: Book of Dreams. Not to say that I haven't read Smoke and Mirrors, but I can't recall, and I'm assuming I would if I had, in fact, read it ^^;;

I have a copy of Sandman: Book of Dreams, but I haven't read it yet. I got books 9 and 10 for my birthday, but book 8 somehow got lost between the bookstore and home. As soon I've read the last three I'll start BoD. The idea is to avoid nasty spoilers.

You're nineteen? I assumed you were about twenty-two. Huh.
I don't have any spring break plans yet unless my parents aren't telling me: no vacations, and the only possibility I can think of would be college visits. By Monday I'll have visited all the potentials except UGA, so that doesn't sound too likely. I'd really love to visit and talk over spring break if we have it the same week: it might take a while to talk my parents into it, though, so we'd have to start planning soon.
I'm being chased out of the computer lab- talk to you later.

House, of course, rocks the free world.

Yes, it does. And Criminal Minds is at its right hand.

I think I saw part of an episode of Criminal Minds once and was fascinated by the psychology. It's not a regular thing, but I'd probably like it a lot more if I saw it every week.

The party was a week before my actual birthday, so I'm betting on the universe having a lousy sense of humor.
Thanks! I'd quibble a bit with spectacular, but I've had great parents and some awesome friends and relatives. I do trust you about the next eighteen- the feedback from friends in that segment makes things sound interesting but tricky.

If you need me to vouch for Neko to your parents I'm available. Happy late birthday and I'm glad you had fun. ~md
