The Brothers K has always been one of the books I have meant to read, but have yet to get around to it.

That actually reminds me of the ending of Saved! Though this is far better put and the subject is addressed to the correct party (as opposed to the human intermediaries/authorities in the movie).

I had quite forgotten about it. neat. }:>

The professor who introduced me (bless him) to BK had us read Pro and Contra for my suffering and evil class. Even though I'd read it, I, like you, was more than willing to go back, and what struck you is exactly what struck me all over again: why do you have to be so bloody difficult, Lord?

I'll be interested to read your paper now...
