I just got word the other day that (drum roll) I got the teaching job. Sadly, I don't have much time to prepare, and it's for a grade I have never taught....so the learning curve will be very high. But it puts me in the same building as both kids, and that makes this neurotic mom very happy

That's fabulous news!!! What grade are you teaching? I taught 1st, 2nd, 4th and Special Ed Resource 1-7 during my teaching career. I'll be happy to share any ideas/thoughts/advice you might be interested in.

While your writing may slow down significantly, you'd be surprised how therapeutic it is to write "grown-up stuff" when you've spent your entire day with children. Even if it's a sentence or a paragraph a day, writing adult-level articles, helped keep me from going stir crazy when I felt all I did was tend to children all day.
