it's not a snow day, cause canadians don't have snow days, but it's days like today that remind me i'm not living in the U.S. it really feels like canada here today, what with tromping through piles of snow, getting frost on my eyelashes and in my nose, and eating lunch in a cafe full of touque-wearers (look it up). it's the great white north ( Read more... )

It's exactly the same in ON as in Michigan, and there's no way today would be a snow day in MI with the snowfall we got in Guelph. :-P

We got like 6 inches. None of it compares to the poor other side of the lake, though. Have you seen those photos for upstate NY with people leaving their houses through the second-floor windows? That kind of thing always reminds me of "The Long Winter" or whatever book that was in the "Little House on the Prairie" series.
