I'm just going to give my mental image 'cause...well, 'cause I am.
The place opens into a waiting-type room. In a normal hospital there'd be a reception desk but lolz no. The waiting room has drinks off to the side, and a place for laptops, and I was thinking there'd be a mini-kitchen there-- a sink, a burner, cupboards above and below with really simple snacks and dinners-- energy bars, instant ramen, soba-- for people who were waiting. There's a hallway off there that leads to the staff area-- the breakroom and any offices on the first floor; probably the janitor's closet. And then the paitent rooms are from another hallway, and the stairwell's probably open.
I think I have referenced a reception area -- some place where people arrive with injured at least and are met by staff/can call staff into. For that reason, I think it'd make sense to have the waiting area separate from the arrival area -- we wouldn't want people panicking, making fuss etc, if someone arrives critically injured. We'd want the staff to get them to a room with as little fuss/staring/commentary as possible.
It's probably not good that whenever I think of the hospital I get Theme Hospital flashbacks is it?
Tile floors, an occasional plastic plant, random chairs around, and basically one long hallway (other than a reception area. So more like a nursing home is how I always thought it, other than like the ER and such. But that is just my very wrong mental image.

...now I have this mental image of Thea trashing the plants every day, and every day new plants popping up. Like Sisyphus.
