Okay, because I am lazy, comment for which characters you want to hear thoughts on. Like, Axel might only want to hear Willow's thoughts on Yumichika, so that's what she asks for. (I don't think they've met...bad example!)

I'm bored, shut up. And I might finish this one.

Oh yeah, this is for Willow, Simon, Selphie, Scarlett and Eiko.

Do me or I'll beat you again~

(That is to say, Simon - Wolfwood, Simon - Livio, and Scarlett - Chrno. I think that's it.)

Simon on Wolfwood
It probably shouldn't come as a surprise that Simon's quite aware that Wolfwood is not a "good" man, but instead a person who's done very bad things and is attempting to atone for them. This is probably because Simon kinda lived on a ship with a priest who was doing the exact same thing, even if Simon never realised to what extent Book and Wolfwood are similar. Simon's aware that Wolfwood is very, very controlled, and that if he really wanted to, he could kill quite a few people at camp before getting taken down. He also knows that once you know that, it's hard to not smack people around when they get frustrating. The fact that Wolfwood doesn't ... surprises Simon a little, possibly because he perceives himself as being helpless at camp.

None of this is to say that Simon considers himself to be helping Wolfwood be good or whatever. Because he doesn't. Simon appreciates that Wolfwood tries and that's enough. Also, Wolfwood has a rare skill that many people don't - that to listen to Simon without forcing him to ( ... )

Simon on Livio
Simon ... kinda thinks that Livio needs a kick up the arse, acknowledge that he's getting better and that he should continue his progress towards being the person he wants to be. You can see the hypocrisy in this. He's quite aware that Livio isn't all that stable but. Uh. Simon's lived with River for eight months, Delirium for ages, and insanity's just something he has learned to tolerate now. It doesn't really unnerve him at all, which is kinda sad. ANYWAY.

Livio's kinda quiet, which Simon doesn't mind because he's pretty quiet too, and he's pretty willing to listen when Livio does speak. Even if he wants to KICK HIM IN THE HEAD AND STUFF. Because he should acknowledge that he's not as bad as he thinks. Well, not any more. Simon doesn't know what he was like before and doesn't really want to.

Scarlett on Chrno
As you're probably aware, I decided to have Scarlett's demon sensing abilities only register Chrno as a slight chill rather than "omg curl in a ball and shiver" which if he were unsealed, she would have done! What this means is that she gets to meet him first and then decide later whether he's a demon or a person. If he's a person, he gets to live and if not, he doesn't. MY EXPLANATIONS ROCK, OKAY.

Thus far she has a pretty decent opinion of him. He's sensible, practical and is interested in the important things - that they're STUCK. She's also aware of the connection between him and Rosette, and she quite likes Rosette in her grumpy way, so that's another good mark in Chrno's book.

I don't think any of yours have met Nagi, but whoever has met Momoko? 8Db

Simon just thinks of Momoko as a thirteen year old girl who is a little too naive for her own good, and kinda needs to be sheltered from a lot of stuff. Which is why he doesn't tell her much.

Scarlett ... obviously likes the Angels because she does social activities with them, even if it's because Momoko drags her into them. I've taken Scarlett from the end of the manga and so that means that she's started to open up more to the Angels and admit that she doesn't have to be the angry little demon killer that her memories almost shaped her into being. She was caught off guard about how Momoko was from an earlier point in time than her, and is torn between trying to discourage her from falling further in love with Yousuke and letting it play out and just hoping that Uragano doesn't screw them over too much.

But she obviously doesn't mind Momoko, in her sarcastic, dry, grumpy way. It's just hard to get past that to the squishy centre that we know she has.

Come on, shoot Isshin down! (Well, not really except where it's necessary. Daddy will cry.)

Eiko only knows of Isshin as That Awesome Mutated Chocobo.

Selphie met Isshin while bodyswitched and uh. Bonded for life. Ohgodwhy. I really must throw her at Isshin one day if only for the sheer insane disaster that will happen. Because it would be good and yet so so frightening. She likes Isshin's attitude to life and WANTS HIM TO BE HER MENTOR IN THE WAY OF CHEERING PEOPLE UP. God help us all.

Simon ... actually has a positive view of Isshin because Isshin's one of the few people who actually just let Simon talk rather than force things out of him or tell him to shut up. And sure the "LOLZ I WILL CHEER YOU UP BY GETTING IN YOUR FACE" was not appreciated at the time, but that's kinda to be expected when his raison d'etre just left and he doesn't care about much of anything other than leaving. But he actually doesn't mind Daddy!

I know they haven't interacted that much, but I'd be interested to know what Simon thinks of Watari.

sisterskeeper February 6 2007, 19:38:44 UTC
He's heard some stories and, unfortunately, is a little bit wary around him. You know, what with his canon and all. The fact that Watari said that he wouldn't experiment on River helped, but until he's actually seen it, Simon's still a little wary. He hides it well, so unless you're Hisoka the superempath, you wouldn't know, but he's waaaaaatching you.

...I'm going to have this reaction a lot, aren't I?

Watari is doing his best to stay away from Simon. On his first day in camp, Simon really surprised Watari with the whole "don't experiment on my sister thing." Watari doesn't like to be forced into serious conversations unless he's the one initiating them. In fact, Simon's last conversation with Watari in the Windows Vista post really didn't do anything to help all of this, because Simon's behavior was a complete reversal from the last time they spoke. Watari may not show it, but he can be very paranoid. So, Watari will continue to be friendly during their interactions, but never seek Simon out.

(Of course, feel free to come bug Watari whenever! He may mind, but the player doesn't.)

Hilariously, the reversal of behaviour is a conscious shift he's doing to stop people going "oh no, he's really messed up about his sister, WATCH HIM AT ALL TIMES" which ... crimps his style in sacrificing himself for her (or attempting to!) Every. Single. Morning.

... which is something that YnM people are intimately familiar with with themselves but probably not with anyone else! Go team emo shinigami!

Clearly the answer is to lock them in a room and see how long it takes for the facades to crack. WHOSE GOES FIRST? (I kid.)

Simon thinks that Rosalyn means well, but is entirely too in his face for him to ever consider her a confidant. He gets that she's all keen about justice and speechifying and that underneath that she means well in a domineering way, but he wishes it wasn't pointed at him.

Eiko thinks that Ros rocks. But not as much as the moogles.

Scarlett is new.
