Relationship meme version ...who the hell knows now.
I actually am going to finish this one, because I have a few hours spare now and tomorrow I have five hours of dead time at uni where I can do nothing else but finish these things.
Characters I play are Eiko, Scarlett, Selphie, Simon and Willow.

Eiko on Balthier
Balthier's someone "safe" to Eiko, an adult who doesn't treat her as mentally deficient because she's a child but also respects that she's still a child and that there are some things she will not understand. He's got an airship, which automatically counts in his favour, especially with the pseudo-father figure thing that he seems to have going on there with her. And yeah, she kinda does see him as a father figure, but not the father figure. She'll always consider her grandfather her daddy, and then there's Cid, but Balthier's always someone who's safe and older ( ... )

LOL B-Balthier and Eiko need to talk about men named Cid.
And I also play Cheri, Sakaki and Ritsu but I don't think they count.

Simon on Laura
Laura reminds Simon of River in a way. Not as much as Zia does, but the quiet, almost creepy quality that she has when she follows people around, the way she moves and certain mannerisms she has just remind Simon of River. This acknowledgement of Laura-is-like-River isn't helped by the fact that both of them, to Simon's knowledge, were experimented on while they were young. Laura has the problem where she identifies herself as a classification, which causes Simon to go >(. He wonders, like, a lot, whether River ever did that, and so wants to know why no-one rescued Laura.
He's noticed that other people have taken on helping Laura out at camp, and so he's happy to keep a hands-off stance with her. He'll watch, and intervene as necessary, but at the moment she seems fine as she is so he won't too much.
Simon on ZiaOh Christ, Zia reminds Simon both of River and of Delirium in that they're all happy, playful people, but that ( ... )

Zia thinks that Simon needs lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of looking after. But she often forgets that she thinks that.
... it's also very weird that I have never played with River or Delirium. Hm.

Simon's only had a few conversations with Kyou, but they registered. There's a bit of projection going on, with Simon thinking he can understand Kyou and what makes him tick because they both come from vaguely similar backgrounds - biological family mostly kicked them out, so created their own family with others. Kyou seems to be dealing with it as well as Simon does - read, not at all but has a facade otherwise - and so Simon'll keep an eye out on Kyou, chat to him, see how he's going. Hopefully camp'll be better to him than home, because it seems that his home life sucks.
