i miss you. i am excited to come back to geneseo and be inspired by your weirdness once more. i don't really have any spectacularly strange friends here, and i think it is hindering my own growth as a weird person. i was disappointed when i went to the vegetarian festival a few weeks ago that there was NO ONE pulling carts with hooks through their backs. i was so hoping to see that and take pictures of it for you. Although, to be perfectly honest, what they were actually doing seemed a whole lot yuckier to me. People had impaled their cheeks with 8 foot long metal poles, fluorescent lights, over 20 large nails, swords, and many other things that made ENORMOUS bloody holes in their faces. Some people had stuff that was so heavy in their mouths that they needed people on either side of them to hold them up. Other people were just severing their tongues with knives and other were repeatedly hitting themselves in the forehead with axes. None of them seemed to be in much pain. I wish i could have that kind of strength/faith/drugs

You have been in my mind a lot lately. I think you need to be back here in, um, lovely, geneseo. I read the first sentence of your entry and was not sure who it could be, but in no time I saw the subjects of photography and stupid people and knew it could only be one person. It sounds like you are having an amazing time in that freaky foreign place you are in. Farang people are weird. I did know about lepers, but, not to this extent. It is wonderful that you are going to volunteer your abilities, especially while you are away to experience something for yourself. I e-mailed you a bit ago, did it work? is that why you are posting on my pathetic journal
