Dennett's compatibilism has always been complete bullshit based on semantic wankery that dances around the point of what making a choice really means. Thinking about him takes me back to my debates with travellingzinda when I first discussed philo on LJ. I've since grown smart enough not to do that anymore.

And I enjoyed Garden State for being very low key. It's kind of relaxing, albeit a bit vacant.

yeah. he sucks. i read a paper of his, i think it was him, arguing that we really don't think choice and responsibility are related, essentially because we praise children for things. i should find it. complete dogshit.
