We took Jack to potty camp on Thursday and Friday.  I'm so excited.  He's only had one accident since Thursday and that one was at school.  I'm guessing he just didn't know what he was supposed to do at school.  I'm so excited.  Now if he would just poop on the toilet we would be golden.  I'm not sure what to do about that, but I don't suppose that ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness, Jack's school... I don't even know what to say.  I called their autism coordinator a few days ago because I'd found out about this certain type of therapy (applied behavior analysis) that is only done by one place in our area.  The people there had mentioned that sometimes they contract their services out through the school.  I ( Read more... )

This autism journey with Jack has been a very difficult, but very learning-rich experience.  I'm happy to say that my mother-in-law is now on board.  For the longest time she refused to accept that there was anything wrong with Jack.  It would upset her any time I talked about things we were doing.  She just finished reading the Jenny McCarthy book ( Read more... )

put Jack on diet to reduce problems with yeast (low in sugars, which includes fruits, potatoes, etc.)
give Jack mineral oil every hour
