Awww, thanks! What a great, sad, sweet what-if. I loved it!
This night feels open somehow - not hopeful, just open I love that line. A lot of nights have felt like that to me and that's the perfect way to describe it.
Ooh, when I read the opening lines, I thought "Oh, no, not another 'what they were really thinking during a canon scene' fic," but then I read farther and my jaw dropped because it wasn't that at all. This felt really real and right, almost like what you would have expected the show to really do, instead of the fan-pleasing kiss. And it hurt, right where it should.
thanks! I thought it was weird when I realized that despite the millions of Casino Night rehashings out there, I hadn't read anything where Jim actually didn't say he loved her.
Oh, wow. This was painful, but in an oh so good way. I really wanted to see Pam find out that he was leaving, so the fact that you had him tell her that rather than saying he loved her was brilliant. I liked that you still had them had those Casino Night moments, but in a totally different way. Lovely.
Oh, this is extremely cool. I loved seeing how it might have been if on Casino Night we had gotten a continuation of Jim and Pam's same tense, cryptic dance instead of the breathtaking honesty we did get--this felt very real, and very painful, and very them.
