Who, exactly, is this John Schideler? What did he say? What does he look like? Age? Etc? And if you don't like him like that, just pretend like it never happened and don't let it change your relationship. Don't go out with him just for the sake of having a boyfriend. If you do, that would turn off guys in whom you might actually be interested. And if they asked you out anyway, you'd either have to say no or look like a bitch/slut. Pardon my French.
Seriously! I know what I'm talking about, despite apparent evidence to the contrary. It worked for Sara (I think), and it can work for you.
I like the "G-d" thing, by the way. Very Jew-inspired. =]
