Happy 2016! It's been sometime since I properly updated. This journal is solely for my own entertainment because I think it's actually fun to read back on the things that made me happy hahaha. As I grow older, I realize that it actually doesn't take much to make me happy. Can be something as simple as getting my favorite food/drink or just staying at home and doing nothing (really...it's the best feeling ever).
Started off 2016 with a one-day trip to Melaka with my girls!
We just wanted to get out of Singapore so....Melaka pun Melaka la. Hehe much thanks to Mai who actually spent the entire day driving us around!
The highlight of January? EXO's EXOluXion concert!!! I cannot express how excited I was up to the days leading to the concert? I actually went for both days ($$$$ byebye) but it was so worth it. It was my first time in a standing pen @ a concert AND THE FATIGUE WAS WORTH IT. Like..I could see them so clearly, and when I saw Jongdae, I was all,
''THIS CAN'T BE REAL!!!!''
These nine people bring me so much joy and I sound like a super lame fangirl but!!!! I'm so used to going to concerts alone that it's I actually prefer to go alone hahaha. Okay, it's fun to go with friends as well but I actually realized that quite a handful of people actually go to concerts alone?
I left my contract job @ JPMC after nine months and I'm happy to say that after close to three years in the workforce, I've finally secured a permanent job for myself. Am in the insurance line once again, so let's see how this works out for me. Now people can finally stop nagging at me, thanks :')
Also, one of my best girls got engaged in Feb c: People my age are already planning to settle down...what am I doing with my life.
I started listening to KPOP when I was 15 and now I'm 24, so it's been close to ten years and this is pretty much the craziest thing I did. Okay, I know it's like pretty small-scale since it's just Malaysia, but I actually went overseas just to see EXO again????? Am so grateful that one of my ex-poly classmates accompanied me on this trip :')
I've been to KL quite a few times with my friends, but we usually can. So it was my first time getting around via public transport. We took the KLIA Ekspres from KLIA2 (and was pleasantly surprised) and took the KTM to our hotel. The hotel was amazingggggggggggggg. Shiok max.
Worth the $$$.
I tell you ah...sungguh menguji kesabaran to actually enter the concert venue. There's only two entrances and crowd management dia, Ya Allah. Everyone was jam packed together and it was so cramped and stuffy while we were ''queueing'' to get in and I was so close to throwing up. Honestly, I really can't imagine if Raudhah wasn't there. Like she kept asking me if I was alright and stuff. THE THINGS I GO THROUGH FOR NINE GUYS WHO ARE NOT EVEN AWARE OF MY EXISTENCE.HAHAHA.
Pasar malam pun kalah!!!
It's definitely a memory that will last though. Despite the heat and the crowd and the worry of getting back to our hotel safely hahaha. But at least I did it? So yay me.
Also, it was Chenchen's first overseas trip! #achievementunlocked I can't wait to brng him on more trips!!!
Travelling, no matter if it's a neighbouring country or somewhere far away, truly is a nice feeling. Can't wait till my next getaway..hopefully the land of kimchi or land of the rising sun hahahaha.
It feels as if I'm going through some sort of ''slump'' period ever since late last year. I don't know what and why, but it's just...??? Moods fluctuate and it's like I have to tell myself everything's going to alright just to get through the day and it's like I'm on my period every single day. Okay, maybe it's just me but I just want to get over it?
It's Sunday and the pre-Monday blues are so real right now. When can I be a taitai. I get sick of routine so easily, but nak hidup kene kerja :') what to do hahahahaa unless I get married to a sultan ahahahhaha. Now I'm just going to lie down in bed and enjoy the last few hours of my Sunday.
