Eventually Gaston will be known for something else.

Two things that always bothered me as a kid (and at present) when watching Disney's Beauty and the Beast1) Belle saying "This is all my fault" too many times throughout the entire movie. Doesn't Disney know that redundancy and multiple repetition of a word or phrase is BAD ( Read more... )

Gaston should be dead! But I gather because he's so busy lifting the village ladies for fitness, that he need all that protein to maintain his bulk :)

Also, the chest hair dismays some children, I am told hehe.

As for Belle. I think she's one of the better Disney 'princesses'. I like the new breed, esp. Mulan. They're less useless than Snow White and co.

Out of the many illogical things that happen in this movie, you wonder why I'd focus so much on his cholesterol levels. I mean, household furniture singing and dancing? Mrs Pott (who looks like she's in her 70s min) with a very, very young child? (not that it's COMPLETELY impossible...Lumiere's charm is DANgerous :P)

She is! I love how she's strong about her views and the way she stood up to Gaston and not succumb to him when he made the offer of marriage to save her dad, etc. That phrase is the only thing that continuously bothers me! Have you watched Tangled? I think Rapunzel's another Disney princess that can kick butt and take care of herself. LOOOOVE that movie :")

Just hearing Snow White's voice is annoying. X)

Hmmm maybe that's why it was so noticeable! Also, even if the movie was released in 1991, the movie itself was set in much earlier years (1700's or 1800's, maybe?), so if we actually tried to make reason with it, the characters might not have known that too many eggs is BAD at the time. Yeah, the yolk of one egg supposedly has the max amount of cholesterol you can have in a day.

:D yay team heh

Me too. Scrambled eggs, omelettes, eggs sunny-side-up on toast, egg salad sandwich mmm. Was watching Food Network and Giada was making a frittata that looked soooo good, but it had like 10 eggs (despite knowing that you're not going to eat the whole thing in one sitting).
