The short version would be that I got back from Spring Training to find that my mom was in congestive heart failure... not an emergency per se, but not a good situation either. It was a lovely day, but sadly, perhaps the last of the player appearances to tide me over until February!

I had the best intentions of buckling down and catching up on the backlog at the end of the season, but I think I needed a break, and then, well, the whole Thanksgiving-to-Christmas time period is not good for me for planning.
