what a great quote. i've never read this before, although i've heard of joseph campbell. quite profound. grazie for sharing it as it will give me another thought to muse upon...

Might I suggest you read as much of Joseph Campbell as you can get your hands on? "The Power of Myth" is my favorite by him... amazing concepts to turn over seeing a new facet each time.
