Back in March, I was in costume as Darth Maul for a signing event with Carrie Fisher and Jake Lloyd on two different days; once with a group of other costumers and one day on my own (that even counted as being a work day!). I got to speak with them a little bit, which was kind of fun.

I rode the train across Tokyo on the way to a Halloween event dressed in full Darth Maul makeup and costume, which can be a bit scary. I've seen young children break out in tears upon seeing me in costume, and quite a few adults give me a wide berth. Halloween =/= April 1st
Got up this morning, and the internet was afire with the announcement that Disney and George Lucas have come to an agreement in the purchase of Lucasfilm. Star Wars will now be owned by Disney, and there's already tentatively a movie coming out in 2015 ( Read more... ) -

With the weekend over, my Halloween is winding down for this year. I guess that's bound to happen when it falls in the middle of the week, as it does this year.
I went to a party on Saturday night that turned out to be a bit smaller than I'd expected, but was still ok. Perhaps almost as much fun was getting to and from the party in full costume. The ( Read more... ) -

I just had a mental image of Edward Scissorhands and Freddy Krueger teaming up for a water balloon toss competition. The team that's destined to fail.
Afterthought: That might be a half-way decent one panel comic with the right caption. My drawing skills are rusty, though, I haven't drawn in ages. -
THIS killed the radio star?
I have a short train ride over to the next station on my way to work. Most of the trains have little LCD screens above the doors, so if I don't read part of a book on my kindle for the whole 4 minutes I'm on the train, I get treated to commercials for McDonalds, Nintendo, Tokyo Disney, and whatever else.
