or find a happy medium? certainly ronald jenkees has found his (hi youtubes!).

i'm definitely very interested in this so far as it's simply another way of looking at levels of consciousness. if autism or savantism is in fact a particular deficiency in signifying powers, that pretty much explodes the potential of our actual mental capabilities.

as Aldous Huxley says,
"The suggestion is that the function of the brain and nervous system and sense organs is in the main eliminative and not productive. Each person is at each moment capable of remembering all that has ever happened to him and of perceiving everything that is happening everywhere in the universe.
