Damn Weather Etc...

I just got up and damn it is cold in here this morning! Am I the ONLY person in the world who likes Summer and actually misses Summer weather? Everyone keeps talking about how "great" this weather is. I do not think it is great. It's not supposed to be 68 and cloudy in Dallas in August. It should be 100 and sunny. Yes, I enjoy summer. I like going ( Read more... )

Interesting observations you have here, Mr. Man. I've seen the ladies of which you speak, and I thank gord that I'm not anything like that. LOL. I'd rather have a smart, funny, interesting guy than one that thinks that all it should take to impress me is a nice watch and a hot car.

I don't see you getting flamed on this...especially in the Dallas area, we see lots of people like that, of both sexes. Whee, right?

And yay for things looking up for you and Denise. It's good to hear. It's nice to see you writing again, you. :)

As for the weather, all I can say is that 1) you're crazy for being up at 4am if you don't have to be [har], and 2) that it was super-nice to be able to take a break from my Friday workday yesterday and come outside to a radiant, non-sweaty day. Niiiiice.

You make her breakfast? Aw. I need to get one of those. ;) And I'll see if I can't check out that song and lose my mind and all. Heh.

OMG, want to talk rich-city? Tammy and I were flipping around through a Pottery Barn catalog the other day, and I about lost my mind. GORGEOUS stuff, and thoroughly expensive. I don't need a lot of material goods (with the exception of cds and books, aka the 'chump change') either, but man...if someone offered me a PB shopping spree, I'd probably end up with a leather chair or two. $65 dollars for a throw pillow cover? For sheesh ( ... )

The thing about Pottery Barn that gets me is a lot of their stuff is made to look "old" and antique and worn, but you can find the same exact things at a real antique market for about 1/4 the price. And since they're *real* antiques, usually much better construction, etc. At least as far as a lot of their furniture and stuff goes.
Bah - no leather chairs allowed here . . .we have 3 cats. They are nice, though.

Yeah, I'm sure if I got one of those chairs, it'd be covered in white hair in no time. At least Boo's declawed, so I wouldn't have to worry about that.

I'm still plotting some sort of cushion cover to make for the nifty sofa you and Denise gave me. Why buy a new one if I can trick out the old one, yes? :)
