I love your icon! May I steal it? Oh yes, this IS a most amazing time. My 88 year old Mom who has, in her life, voted for Nixon, Regan, Bush I, Bush II, & even Barry Goldwater, voted for Obama! I'm so proud! I've long contended that Americans deserved what we've gotten in the past. We take our rights for granted, we don't vote half the time but finally, we pulled together & there is HOPE.

Sadly, my state passed Prop 8. So now discrimination will now be written into our state constitution. It seems that friends that were married 8/8/08, will have yet another marriage invalidated:( I'm mourning the losses but celebrating the victories with a full heart.

"Still thinking of you and Annie." Thank you. I miss her so much.

Oh Yes! Steal away and credit sherryholt.

I admire people who do know when change is required and do something about it, even if what is required goes against what they've done in the past. Your Mom is a fine woman.

I am so disappointed with the vote in favour of Prop 8. I find it surprising, as I thought California was more liberal. I can't understand retracting rights given to human beings, let alone taking them away from people who took advantage of them. It's a damn shame and not right!

*hugs* Will keep positive thoughts for Annie. I expect she's not too far away.

Snagged the icon - thanks. And yes, my Mom is a fine woman♥

Are you getting news coverage of the demonstration in West Hollywood tonight? Whole lot of unhappy people; I don't believe the fat lady has sung just yet. Of course,I wish it would have been defeated but change will come! Who knows, perhaps in out lifetime we will see a gay President.

I so appreciate the positive thoughts for my beautiful girl.
*hugs*

You live in the land of "proper" Tetley tea! I'm enjoying some right now.

Jubilant is the perfect description! I'm still hyper from yesterday.
Wasn't his speech beautiful?

Thinking of Annie.

The man epitomizes "grace." The speech was amazing; that's what a leader sounds like! I'm still getting teary every once in a while, imagining Martin Luther King & his "I Have A Dream Speech." My heart is truly full.

"Thinking of Annie." Thank you. I miss her so much:(
Cute pic of Mozart - give him a snuggle for me?

Prop 8 result = sad & unconstitutional. Will comment on your post when I get home from work.

Well said. Hopefully, he will bring our nation together. He already has in many ways.

Mozart said, "Thanks for the snuggle"
