Weird dream last night

Apr 27, 2005 03:49

I guess I'm prematurely excited about the poetry open-mic this Thursday as I had the strangest dream about it last night. In waking life, two of my friends, whom I used to attend high school with but have lost touch with since then, recontacted me and will be coming for the read as well. I'm pretty happy about this, as the one guy was an excellent ( Read more... )

4 pages is a great effort. It puts me to shame :(
I've been having extremely weird dreams lately too. They are so vivid, as clear as cut glass. Almost like watching a movie. I should start writing them down again -- I used to do it, and found they would almost be giving me cryptic solutions to issues I was dealing with at the time.

Diet Pepsi? Surely it's your stomach that's gonna suffer instead of brain cells, which can only be a good thing. I'm cutting down on caffeine, and what used to be around 6-7 cups of coffee a day (believe me, it used to be around 10 or 11, and I knew it was getting bad when I'd be able to fall asleep straight after having one) is now just down to 2 at the absolute most.

So, good luck at the open-mic poetry tomorrow night!! Let me know all about it.

Have a great day!!

Coffee'll stunt your growth, kid.

I think I'm being paranoid about the aspartame thing, my Biology-majored friend tells me its an urban myth, but ya just never know. There's a character on 'Deadwood' that has a brain tumor, and that show is so gritty and realistic (at least as real as I can imagine the Old West to be) that he disturbs me greatly. I tell myself that if I ever develop some sort of fatal illness, whether it a tumour or alzheimers or some nerve ailment, Im going to use all my last remaining faculties to wade into the bayou and let the 'gators have at me. :)

At least I didn't drink coffee, which I hear can cause one to pee out their pancreas......... ;)

I sure know about the evils of coffee. Still can't say no to my first one in the morning though. I used to possess a terrible habit for it, but thankfully those days have gone.

Isn't it amazing how "gritty & realistic" things that disturb us so greatly, are just so fascinating & inspiring?

I also have a hypocondriac tendency (usually not to the point my life is disturbed, it's just the imagination thing!) and so I can totally understand where you're coming from here.
