Gods act like monsters.

Mortals act like monsters.

...what are we monsters supposed to do? Even in all this mess, Scylla always found some order; it wasn't great, but it was alright.

Are we all animals now?

It's the obvious, and it's simple; people don't like simple, or so Scylla has noticed.

Penelope and you are alright. Scylla...could be better, but definitely better than a lot of people.
