Sorry for being under the radar for a while, I've been bouncing back & forth between here & Seattle, which tends to leave me a bit disoriented, and less able to do computery thingies like posting on livejournal

After passing through it again yesterday, my new favorite place is a warehouse on the west side of Broadway. Old, run-down, lousy paint job--but you can bring your kids there and have their picture taken with Santa!
I didn't mean to leave you out, raze, but as I said, it was 2 in the morning. Besides, you seem to be doing all right--I don't really have much to say for or against mortgages, but your financial stability really seems to be helping you, and of course the chance of Marcel coming back is a major benefit as well. Good luck!
Oh, don't worry about it, like you said, I'm doing alright and I don't rely on the ego boost of being mentioned in somebody's journal! Still haven't heard one way or the other about either the mortgage or Marcel but it will all come together soon.
Nah, no clue which god precisely, or how, so I'll credit the goddess Pele who has a thing against pork and makes volcanoes do their thing. I ate bacon for the first time in ages, oh...about two weeks ago. So there.
Good luck with the girls! I've got a penpal in Portland, and I'm trying to convince him to come visit this way soon. I like him quite well, but we're still at the letter-writing, non-flirty phase. I don't know if he's the flirty type, though. I suspect not.
coffeejunkie just took a bunch of pics today, when I met her for her lunch break, so while I'm happy to have any snapshots people can email me, the urgency is now gone. *whew!*
