I normally draw him a bit harsher than I did here because this isn't really Snape, but a perfected hallucination (ghost, angel, demon?)version of himself.

I think this is lovely. I've had it open on my laptop all day and keep clicking over to look at it. I love how Severus seems to be sort of drawn to Hermione's light. :) Your style reminds me somehow of a cross between fairy tale painting in illustrated children's books (and I mean that in the very best way) and some works of Byzantine art. I think it's beautiful!

The only piece of concrit I can offer is that his left arm maybe looks a little too boldly outlined in comparison to the rest of his figure, but that's a minor nitpick. I'd love to see any others that you've done!

I agree with the arm outline thing. Just a paint manipulation fail - I haven't painted in so long.

The storybook illustration style was the line I was aiming for so I am glad that that came out. I only know about the Byzantine mosaics so I would be interested in learning more about that.

I'm so thrilled with this - I think I've posted this in about 18 different places, but thank you so much. You have no idea how happy you have made me.

As I think I said somewhere in the dozen or so places I've replied :) to me, there is no greater compliment than when an artist creates a work inspired by my writing!

Ooh it's like something out of a fairytale book. Watercolor right? It's an incredibly difficult medium in my experience, and I think you've done a wonderful job! His eyes, in particular, are very captivating!
