OOC: Headcanon Meme (Post-"Six Minus Six" Mostly)

Jan 28, 2012 15:07

Stolen from linatrinch who got it from Tumblr.

1. What does their bedroom look like?

Utilitarian. Neat and tidy. There's almost nothing personal there so he can easily get up and leave at any time. The most ornate thing is the katana he used to wield sitting on a stand.

2. Do they have any daily rituals?

Get up. Train. Eat breakfast and drink coffee. Kick Rex out of bed. More training. Fight EVOs. Get patched up and possibly yelled at by Holiday. Lunch. Train or fight more EVOs. Eat dinner. Train a little more or fight more EVOs. Weapons repair or cleaning. Go to bed. Do it all over again tomorrow.

3. Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often?

Please see above. He trains himself long and hard. You don't get to be the sixth deadliest man on the planet by being a couch potato.

He does his martial arts training religiously. Both armed and unarmed.

4. What would they do if they needed to make dinner but the kitchen was busy?

He'll either wait or come back later. He prefers to make his own food when possible. Less of a chance to get poisoned that way.

5. Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.)

Rather neat and organized. It's easy when you don't have many personal things to act as clutter. Plus it makes it easier to tell when someone steals his stuff. Rex.

6. Eating habits and sample daily menu

He'd probably eat lightly and healthily. He'd probably almost never eat until he was full to avoid feeling drowsy. Need to stay alert!

7. Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time

He hates wasting time. Any free time he has is spent on training.

8. Favorite indulgence and feelings surrounding indulging

I have a joke with a friend that he loves apples. It's not much of an indulgence food-wise, so there's no "oh crap" moment afterwards.

A true indulgence for him is a long soak in a hot bath. It feels good after he's been beaten black and blue by the EVO(s) of the day.

9. Makeup?

Not usually, no. Possibly for disguises used in some undercover work back when he was a mercenary, but definitely not a daily thing.

10. Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?

Some PTSD due to the horrendous backstory I made up for him which did not include a happy childhood by any stretch of the imagination. It leads to his stoicism and his being generally socially awkward. Not to mention his trust issues.

11. Intellectual pursuits?

Six isn't one who sits around and debates philosophy or anything like that. Though if it has to do with things that can kill you, the man's a walking encyclopedia on the subject who's always willing to add more information to his arsenal.

12. Favorite book genre?

He tends to favor the classics though he has a particular interest in fairy tales. He never got to hear them when he was young, so it's interesting for him to see what other children were raised on.

13. Sexual Orientation? And, regardless of own orientation, thoughts on sexual orientation in general?

Rather than officially labeling himself anything, he has more of a lax attitude towards it all. To him, if he likes you and wants to be around you, he wants to stay around you as much as possible because nothing good lasts forever. However, it takes a ridiculous amount of trust to get him to a point where he'd be able to do more than simply spend time with anyone.

14. Physical abnormalities? (Both visible and not, including injuries/disabilities, long-term illnesses, food-intolerances, etc.)

I always picture that underneath the suit are loads of scars from past battles and even from his time as a child. He covers them up as much as possible and doesn't like talking about them.

15. Biggest and smallest short term goal?

I don't even know. Biggest short-term goal would probably be finding a way to keep the dam crew afloat. I imagine he takes on periodic mercenary work to help pay the bills but none of the assassination stuff like he used to. However, I keep seeing that at least a few of his jobs are of...dubious...morality at times.

Smallest short-term goal? Not sure to be honest.

16. Biggest and smallest long term goal?

Biggest long-term goal would be getting his memories back or at least becoming that better Six Rex, Holiday, and the rest regard so highly.

Smallest long-term goal? Assisting in whatever way he can to help find a cure. Since he's from so far in the past mentally, it's not a high priority for him. That and it's unlikely he knows about One's fate which, I imagine, was why it was so important to find a cure.

17. Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress

He'll either wear a suit or body armor. Both green, of course. He doesn't really do anything special except to make sure the suit's neatly pressed.

18. Favorite beverage?

Coffee is his friend.

19. What do they think about before falling asleep at night?

Mostly planning ahead for the next day.

20. Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them?

He was on the street for quite a while, so he's probably had a variety of lovely diseases. Headcanon says that he was about to die of illness when One found him.

21. Turn-ons? Turn-offs?

Turn-Ons: Intelligent, capable of protecting themselves, willing to go toe-to-toe with him and let him know when he's being stupid even if he doesn't want to hear it. Athletic and a nice set of legs are a big plus.

Turn-Offs: His biggest is damsels in distress. Rescuing you once or twice is amusing but it will get old fast if he's always having to rescue you. Also hates weak-willed people.

22. Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?

He'll jot down notes, most likely in code. Just keeping an eye on things.

23. How organized are they? How does this organization/disorganization manifest in their everyday life?

Pretty organized, actually, for a bachelor. It's easy when you don't have many personal items.

24. Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all?

Anything that kills you, he has an encyclopedic knowledge on. Anything else, he knows enough to get by on.

25.How do they see themselves 5 years from today?

Dead. He was a mercenary after all. He knows that in his chosen profession--even after joining up with Providence and then staying with White Knight and his crew--does not make for a long life.

26. Do they have any plans for the future? Any contingency plans if things don’t workout?

He wants to find some place safe he can "retire" for good. Maybe an island like One's island.

If things don't work out, he's most likely dead anyway.

27. What is their biggest regret?

I'm sure there are plenty of jobs out there that he's not proud of. Perhaps the secret IV threatened him with in "Divide By Six" is his biggest one of those.

But his biggest, most immediate regret is not being the Six that Holiday, Rex, Knight, and the others need or want. He's trying to correct it, but he feels like he's not quite succeeding.

28. Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy?

White Knight is his best friend. The man's known him the longest and was his partner, something that was probably highly unusual for the deadliest people on Earth.

Worst enemy? Most likely Black Knight for the moment.

29. Reaction to sudden extrapersonal disaster (eg The house is on fire! What do they do?)

Evacuate the place immediately and then try and find a way to deal with what's happening. Even if it's just containment until someone more competent arrives.

30. Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies)

Regardless of when, Six would probably not take it well. Particularly if it wasn't like how One died: plenty of time to start to let go even if he didn't quite do so at first.

31. Most prized possession?

His katana that sits on the stand. Headcanon calls it a gift from One.

32. Thoughts on material possessions in general?

He can do without most of them. They tie people to places, after all. Any really personal possessions would be small and easy to carry.

33. Concept of home and family?

Home and family are both the team at the dam for him. His "extended family" would be the rest of the remaining deadliest. He built his family out of the people around him.

34. Thoughts on privacy? (Are they a private person, or are they prone to ‘TMI’?)

He is very, very private.

35. What activities do they enjoy, but consider to be a waste of time?

He doesn't like wasting time, preferring to fill his spare time with useful activities. He will, however, read if he's too injured to do any serious training.

36. What makes them feel guilty?

Disappointing the people around him. He wants to be their Six but when he misses the mark, he feels a bit guilty that he's not living up to expectations.

37. Are they more analytical or more emotional in their decision-making?

More analytical though he will make emotional decisions from time-to-time.

38. Would they consider themselves a Type A or Type B personality?

More Type A, rather controlling and businesslike. He's not overtly aggressive, but once he gets going, look out.

39. What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?

A good rest or working out to a point where he's too tired to dream of anything.

40. Would you say that they have a superiority-complex? Inferiority-complex? Neither?

Neither for the most part. However, he does tend to feel inferior to his previous self.

41. How misanthropic are they?

Six has little love for most people. As long as the ones he cares for are safe, the rest of the world can burn.

42. Hobbies?

Training and reading really.

43. How far did they get in formal education? What are their views on formal education vs self-education?

Headcanon places Six at never being formally educated. He was taught how to read, write, and basic arithmetic by One but everything else he knows is really the result of him learning it himself. If it fascinated him, he'd read up on it.

Which means that his education is rather piecemeal. He can speak a variety of languages because it's useful when you have jobs in various parts of the world but he'll give you a blank stare if you want him to explain Newton's Laws of Motion.

Strangely enough, he sort of wishes he had a formal education and encourages Holiday to teach Rex, but he doesn't resent how he himself was taught.

44. Religion?

Six is largely an atheist though he doesn't mind hearing others talk and debate about God. He figures that if there is a God, Six has done more than enough to earn His contempt.

45. Superstitions or views on the occult?

He isn't overly superstitious. He views the occult with skepticism.

46. Do they express their thoughts through words or deeds?

Six is a "show, not tell" kind of guy. And it's through very subtle shows.

47. If they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal?

See his turn-ons. He's found pretty much everything on his list with Holiday.

48. How do they express love?

He'll either go overboard with the flirting or just be incredibly awkward about the entire thing. Regardless, he doesn't express it well.

49. If this person were to get into a fist fight, what is their fighting style like?

Six knows a variety of martial arts and is the sixth deadliest man on the planet. Unless you're super-powered or one of the other members of The Five, he'll probably wipe the floor with you with ease.

50. Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?

Six isn't afraid of death. In fact, he's almost never been afraid of death, having to face it almost daily while on the street. He knows one day he'll die and accepted it long ago. However, he hopes it isn't any time soon. There's people who will actually miss him now.
