Allotment mixed bag
In the middle of all our business, the funeral and interment, the extension and builders this Summer, the poor allotment lost out. We worked hard earlier in the year and grew much stuff. Then we abandoned it.

Oh what has happened. This will be a dull diary entry. I have caught up on many friends' posts today and it has been lovely.
In work, I busier than ever. Appointed as HR Director a few months ago and with a project on the table with the potential to globetrot. I have my fingers crossed for china, brazil, India, but will probably end up in France, ( Read more... ) -
Horse shaped hole
Yesterday Louis was put down. He was the most amazing pony, kind and loyal, cheeky and fun. There is a pony shaped vacuum in our lives and it hurts so much. Those people he loved, he loved wholeheartedly. With others he was a git, refusing to walk in a straight line, biting in the stable, refusing to be caught. My little area of mourning.
The media is focussed on one funeral and i am too. Last Saturday my Auntie Marjorie died. This morning j, m and I went to her funeral in Aberdeen. Now we are travelling back to the south.

Bliss
The weekend was all sunny loveliness. Ignoring getting up for the dog to go to the loo before returning to bed, it started with a lazy groany lie in followed with a hack on a new horse and a good gallop in the sun. Joy
I am delerious about Scotland's performance in the 6 Nations. J and I did a crazy happy dance in the living room. Yay! -
Plastic princess
It's not often I give a hoot about things royal but the vigour of the backlash is interesting. Mantel, I feel, has been literally misinterpreted. Day seven in the small dogger house...
We have survived a whole week with a puppy. Two craps on the rug, several wees on the woodblock and hours of standing in the back garden awaiting smelly deposits. That seems to be mostly what this lark is about.

Sniggering
It is undignified to snigger at my age I think. I am today working at a communal table in tamworth. A little team of engineers have just started a meeting next to me. The main topic of conversation is that the train company has damaged the grease nipples which means the shaft is stuck. I am so immature! Engineers talk about grease nipples a lot in ( Read more... )
