Does anyone have any advice about job hunting while you already have a job? I applied for a job at DePaul, and I'm calling them tomorrow to set up an interview. What do I tell them while on my illicit interview/sick day? What do I say to the people at DePaul? "Yeah, uh, my job really sucks so I skipped it today and went here." er, maybe not ( Read more... )

Dont raise the issue. I dont beleive they'll beg such a question as to why you took time off for the interview. Its most likely that they will commend you for seeking out a position with them to better serve your needs, and theirs.

Yeah, they don't need to know why you're not at work, or even that you're not at work at all. I'm sure they won't ask or even think of it; they'll just assume you set up the interview on a day you had off or something.
