What are you up to tonight? Call me! Are you going to Carolynn's party tomorrow night? Maybe I should quit drinking for Lent, too. But I think it's too hard for me to not drink at shows. I will quit paying for alcohol - I mean, I will only drink what is given to me when I play a show, maybe. Or what is bought for me. That will never work. I'm a member of the beer club at Small Bar! I can't give up now!

Friday's the best night, I agree.

For some reason, quitting smoking for short periods of time isn't that difficult. Especially if you know Jesus will cry if you smoke.

i've always taken the opportunity of having everyone out on the porch to tell erin all the raunchy things i'm embarassed to have others hear. i mean, your not missing much, but you could get in on that action if you weren't out smoking. something to keep in mind (which way it argues for remains indeterminate).

when is lent exactly? i was going to try to come out to chicago after i get back, but i don't want to be there when everyone is sober (no offense, everyone).

Lent is from March 1st to sometime later...whenever Easter comes around. I agree, I definitely want to drink if your in town.
