This is stunning. I'd never know you haven't written in ages, because your writing is incredible. I love your Remus, he fits right in with canon Remus even as you fill him with all these hidden depths. His view of himself as the monster in the fairy tale makes me so sad, and yet it feels very true to how Remus would actually see himself. Really, fantastic job here, and I'm excited now that you actually claimed this pairing, because I definitely want to read more of them from you.

I agree. This story doesn't feel like the work on someone who has been away from HP for a while. Remus is one of your favourite characters...and I prefer him with Sirius...this is beautiful...and works on so many levels.

Aw, man, Remus... *shakes his head* You did an incredible good job with this. I really enjoyed it. I even wanted to smack Remus across the head for not taking what he wants. :D I loved that bit about him having seen the practise run about 30 times. I'm sure some of those hurt poor Remus.

Poor Lily, too. She gave Remus some pretty obvious chances there - but he wouldn't be Remus if he would take them immediately.
