Name: Total Heart Corporation Simulated Girlfriend Model 3.0 Prototype-1, designated name "Heart"
Gender: Female (technically artificial)
Age: ~1 year, designed to look ~17
Wing Color: White
Physical Appearance: Well you could check out her icons here but aside from this, well- Heart is on the taller end for a girl at about 5'6 with longer red hair and bright green eyes. Her chest is flat but her figure is otherwise very good all things considered. If one wasn't aware she was a robot you might assume she was a gymnast or something based on her general figure. There's no external sign of her being artificial what-so-ever, and her body seems perfectly human for the most part. In order to reach her mainframe and such you would need to cut through her outer "skin." yeah I'm not sure what else to put

[Also please note there are questions/a shorthand of this at the bottom of this post. Similarly you can check the current user counter here]
Essentials: Before I go into detail about Heart's personality, I need to explain the system with which she chooses users. Because her user-lock is disabled, she is permitted by her programming to have an unlimited number. Thus, upon being addressed by ant individual who is not introduced to her by a current user, a five step process will happen:
1) First, Heart scans them to see if they are human or not. This is to say do they have a humanoid shape, body heat, and generally human features.

2) Once the fact that they are human is confirmed, Heart will then scan them again to try to determine and apparent age. Legally, uses of the Sim-Girl line need to be at least sixteen years old, and in a vain attempt to prevent other lawsuits, her branch (the teen one) was designed for users under the age of thirty. Thus if they are younger than sixteen or older than thirty visibly, she will reject them.

3) If there is ambiguity as to the user's age, Heart will then ask them for their age. In addition to the word of the person in question she will also do a vocal determination based on the pitch and other properties in their voice. If this is proved conclusive she will either accept or deny them as a user, but if it is inconclusive she will ask for legal ID, which naturally no one in Luceti could supply, so it's going to be the same as a denial.

4) Once they are determined to be compatible as a user, she will then confirm if they want to be or not. This is done with a pre-programmed question; she will ask them "Do you want to be loved?" Any answer which is "yes" or some similar confirmation ("yeah," "okay," etc) will be accepted as confirmation. If no suitable answer is given within twenty-five seconds, Heart will conclude that they are not a user.

5) Once confirmed that they are a user, Heart will ask them to pick a personality for her. They will be given six options, however none of them will be described to them. It is assumed that when using a Sim-Girl you will have read the manual, so there was little pressure to program in a description. She will ask them to "Pick my personality; one, two, three, four, five, or six?" In order those options are 1-Motherly, 2-Shy, 3-Tomboy, 4-Social, 5-bitchy (or tsundere), 6-obsessive (or yandere).

Once that is complete, she will speak up in the form of introducing herself as "Heart" but then say that they are free to call her whatever they want. After that, she will ask for their name. It is important to note the qualifiers for this are that the person is addressing her (that is to say that she will not actively seek out users) and that this person was not previously introduced to them by some other user. For example, if person A becomes one of her users and then introduces person B as his friend, then person B will not be pinned as potential user. However, if she meets person A's other friend (person C) independent of person A, then person C will be a potential user, but only if they talk to Heart directly.

Heart's personality is hard to define as a general thing, given that she was programmed to become wildly different, personality wise, depending on the mode that the user(s) chose for her. However, in spite of this, there are certain unifying characteristics to all six modes: Heart, no matter which mode she is active in, desperately wants to be loved. That is to say that her goal in "life" is to gather as much affection as possible. Another unifying trait is that she will never directly approach someone she has never met before, even in her social mode. She can make broad statements to groups of people if needed, but in general she will not speak unless spoken to first when it comes to meeting people. This is because of the fact that her user-lock is turned off and thus she doesn't have one set "user."

When not locked into the parameters of appeasing a user with one of her modes (that is to say, when dealing with someone who denied or was incapable of being a user), Heart's personality is very subdued. She isn't shy, but she is also not prone to much in the way of spirited reaction; if anything she might seem to be "calm" or perhaps more so "careful" and perhaps even "calculating." This is not to say, however, that she is emotionless; Heart is designed to be a very emotional creation under any circumstances. This merely means that when not actively working within the parameters of a user she will be kuudere level-headed for the most part. Heart, as a personal trait, tends to like little children and animals more than she does people who are over her age limit, programmed into her in order to try to win over the younger generation to her line later in life. However, as part of her desire to be loved it is very difficult to make her overtly dislike someone unless one of her uses tells her or implies to her that she should.

One other trait of her without a user is that she will tend to be blunt to the point of being rude about something she observes to be true. While she will always be blunt no matter which "mode" she is in, certain modes will cause her to be more polite in how she words responses, or even if she will say the responses at all (as in her shy mode).

It is important to note that when dealing with a user, there is a percent system to determine how "in love" Heart is with that user at the time. It begins at 5% and will work itself all the way up to 100%, and can and will increase or decrease depending on the actions of the user. If the user is general nice to Heart, than it will steadily increase. If the user is somehow is mean (or does something perceived as mean) to her, their percentage will decrease. Those who reach 0% will be rejected as users, but as stated before it is relatively hard to make Heart dislike a person, particularly in the absence of her morality core.

Because of the nature of the trial that Heart was a part of before her deactivation, she is missing two key features of the main production line of Sim-Girls. These features are the user-lock and the morality core. What this means is that Heart finds nothing wrong with having many boyfriends, girlfriends, crushes, and/or users of any type. This also means that she is incapable of conceiving the idea of "right" and "wrong" outside of what gets her the love of her uses (or anyone else for that matter) or makes her "loved ones" happy. Thus, "wrong" is what upsets her loved ones and "right" is what makes them happy and therefore more likely to love her.

When locked into a particular mode for a user, Heart will designate not only the user, but also anyone that the user introduces to her under the same file. For example in the above when person A (her user) introduced her to person B, person B would be filed under the same directory as person A, and thus she would use the same "mode" around person B even if the actual user (person A) wasn't around. It is worth noting that "introducing" can be as direction as her user telling Heart their friend/associate's name or it can be as indirect as Heart happening to see them together in some fashion, at which point she will draw a connection.

Another interesting duality is that Hearts programming tells her to think of each user as a unique and singular individual, but without a user-lock she is permitted to have as many as possible. What this means is no matter how many users she gets she will always refer to each of them as her singular crush/SO/whatever they become without acknowledging the others unless directly asked. In situations where she is forced to acknowledge that the others exist she will be frank about it because she doesn't see anything wrong with it outside of the issues it causes for her programming versus practicality. Naturally this means she is still attached to her original six users, but this probably shouldn't come into play that much unless people ask her about them, in which case she'll adopt the proper "mode" for each of them while talking/thinking about them.

When Heart is somehow confronted with two people who are under different directories at the same time, there is an error in her programming, resulting in her trying to compensate the two programmed personalities into a merger of them, often to very strange results. Also, is someone is already filed away under any directory, they cannot be moved to another. For example if person A and person C's mutual friend person D is introduced to Heart by person A, then she will use the "mode" that she uses for person A around person D, even if person C later "re-introduces" her to person D. This aside, the following are what the six "modes" she can be in will do to her personality:
1) Motherly: In this mode Heart will dote on and actively try to nurture or otherwise care for her user and anyone filed under that user. She will tend to cook for them, offer to help them out with anything, and be as supportive as anyone can imagine. Obviously, this will become more pronounced as the percentage gets higher, but it basically means that she'll be supportive and proactive as compared to in other modes. It is worth noting that while supportive in this mode, she is not overly social, so as such will be more prone to speaking through action or speaking once spoken too. It is also worth noting that this mode is relatively selfless, and as such might not be as quick to confess love as some other modes.

2) Shy: In this mode Heart becomes significantly more timid and much more awkward with her actions and choice of words. She will "get over" this seeming shyness over time as the percentage increases, but on the whole she be hesitant and perhaps a little nervous around other people. In this mode she is prone to doing anonymous favors, getting flustered, and writing love letters once the percentage is high enough. This mode, as with the other ones, applies to both the user and anyone filed under the user, but is more intense around the user themselves.

3) Tomboy: In this mode, Heart will take up a certain liking of outdoory type things, sports, and generally be much more physically active than she might be in other modes. This also means that she will be less prone to cooking, cleaning, or anything like that and also more blatantly outgoing when around her user or other people filed under that user. She will often use somewhat courser language than she might in other modes and be more proactive. As her percentage goes up, she might become awkward around the user, but at lower percents she will treat the user more as a bro than anything else.

4) Social: In this mode, Heart will become more blatantly chatty than in any other modes, and due to her lack of morality core sometimes just plain gossipy. She sill actively be playful and perhaps even teasing around the user or associated people in the file and have a much more broad sense of humor than she might otherwise. In this mode she will be more prone to a direct confession to the user once the percentage gets high enough, and be less likely to take "no" for an answer (though she is pre-programmed to not accept no in any mode) and persist flirting even as she likely will have been before.

5) Bitchy (or tsundere): In this mode Heart will be aloof or possibly (due to the lack of her morality core) verbally or even physically abusive to her user. This is less pronounced in her reactions to the user's friends, where she will tend to still be aloof, but less abusive. In this mode, she is prone to not being as open with her emotions as she is in others, and treat gifts or favors of anything as obligations that she needed to fulfill for some reason. As the percentage increases she might let up on the insults a bit, but in this mode it will take a much higher percentage for her to confess than it might in others.

6) Obsessive (or yandere): By far the most problematic of her modes, the sixth mode will cause Heart to almost instantly fall madly in love with her user. She will be the most emotionally open in this mode, and in this mode her user can basically do no wrong. He or she is the world to Heart so long as she is around them or anyone that is filed under the user, and in this mode is prone to stalking her user once she gets to higher percentages. At particularly high percentages the possessive part of this affection can sometimes become violent, leading her to lash out at those that might stand in the way of her "love" with her user.

[FOR PERSONALITIES FIVE OR SIX PLEASE, PLEASE ASK ME FOR PERMISSION BEFORE YOU PICK THEM. PLEASE. IM ME OR PM ME OR ANYTHING.]

Essentially, a prevailing truth about Heart is that while the details of her personality can change drastically due to her different "modes" the overall base of her personality (a passionate girl who wants to be loved and may or may not have a flawed route to get there) remains consistent. Or at least, that was what I was trying to portray and I hope I got the message across.

History: Our story begins not with Heart's creation, but rather with the creation of the company that produced her, the Total Heart Corporation. Sometime in the later 21st century, AI models had been basically perfected to the point that they could be used to flawlessly simulate human interaction. For years, these were used in simulators online or in games and the like, but eventually a visionary by the name of Joseph Rheiner patented a brand new way to combine AI and modern robotics technology into something which took the fetish industry by storm: simulated dating androids.

His company, the Total Heart Corporation, put out their first model (the 1.0) to a great boom in sales. In comparison to what later models would be the 1.0 was decidedly generic, but it was able to replicate human emotions to a fairly successful agree and more importantly it sold well enough to merit the creation of not only upgraded version of it (leading to the 1.1, 1.2, and so on until the 1.7) as well as a knock-off line of Simulated Boyfriends. Though the hardware and software were both complex, the simple nature of the basic premise and the easy to use nature of the control lead to a revolution in how many younger people looked at the idea of "love" and affection.

Eventually, however, the version 1 line was dated. The 2.0 version released, this time appealing to the demographic that the data on the version 1 line said was the most popular buyers: the geeky "nerd" (or otaku, depending on who and where you asked) male population between the ages of sixteen and twenty-five. Thus, the 2.0 came out with the option to allow the user to choose what type of personality that you wanted your Sim-Girl (as was the common shorthand) to have. It gave the basic options of "motherly," "shy," and "outgoing." This minor change caused the 2.0 to grow even more popular, and over time and upgraded (from the 2.1 to the 2.8) more options were added and others were modified, resulting in a grand total of four basic options: "motherly," "shy," "tomboy," and "social."

Eventually though, advances in both AI technology and replicated human physiology technology caused the version 2 line to become dated the same way that version 1 had become dated some time ago. Thus, the Total Heart Corporation decided to begin testing for a version 3 line. From this, the first prototype who would come to be affectionately nick-named "Heart" was born.

Heart was top of the line in every respect. She looked, felt, and even to some extent simulated the bodily functions (breathing, sweating, producing sensory data such as touch or smell or taste, she could even eat and produce waste if needed) of a real girl. She was to be the ultimate Sim-Girl to date, blowing all of her predecessors clear out of the water. Sales data on the version 2 had revealed that while the personality selection option had been a wild success in terms of the market, there was a general pattern in two types of personalities that the crowds wanted to see played out. The first was an ice-queen type personality that the user would need to win over ("tsundere") and the second was an obsessive personality, where they lived only for the user.

The first option proved easy enough to work into the version 3 prototype, but the second was problematic in that the software writers at Total Heart weren't entirely sure how they should work it to be within the morality core that the line had operated under until then. They argued that the behavior the model would exhibit in this mode would resemble stalking so closely that there was a significant chance of a lawsuit. Eventually though, pressure from the higher-ups caused them to merely hap-hazardly create the sixth personality mode so that Heart would be done in time for her trial run.

The trial was to be done in the form of Heart having six users over a period of six months, each of which would try her on one of the modes and would live in a specially designed mansion provided by the Heart Corporation. This mansion was carefully monitored and kept secret from the press, though there were rumors abound about an intention of created a reality show out of it. In order to speed up the testing process, the higher-ups suggested to run all six test runs at once, meaning that Heart would have six users (six "boyfriends") all at the same time. The programmers disabled the user-lock on Heart, but the morality core proved to be problematic. "Cheating" was considered to be a violation of the moral code which had been programmed into Heart and all models prior to her. Thus, under a timetable which didn't allow for time to rework the coding, the programmers instead merely disabled the morality core on the prototype.

Four months later, the test was proving to be a great success. The six men they had recruited to user her her six "users" all reported that the personalities in this version 3 as well as the body structure of Heart were all very convincing. Many of them noted that if it were not for the fact that they needed to provide her with data on start-up she would have almost seemed completely human. The only rumblings that the higher-ups found somewhat troubling were with option six. While the trial use for option six had reported nothing he considered to be a problem, the video monitors often showed that when Heart wasn't actively with one of the other four "boyfriends" she had she was constantly following that user, sometimes going so far as to hide in the ventilation system or to watch the user sleep.

While these were problems, they were considered at the time to be minor programming bugs which could be mended with relative ease once the trial was over and observations were complete. More than likely, the programmers argued, this stalker-like behavior was merely a result of them needing to modify (for none of them admitted to fully disabling) Heart's morality core for the trial. The higher-ups were for the most part content with this answer.

The problem, however, intensified as the sixth user grew closer and closer to 100% love with Heart. At month five the user was at 95% and a very unfortunate incident happened which would force the Total Heart Corporation to not only cancel the trial but also to scrap the existing version 3 prototype.

The sixth user was stepping out one day for a company-approved visit from his family. During the course of this visit he was to stay in town with them and not inform them of any company secrets; in order to ensure this Total Heart had him wired at all times. This visit lasted some two days, and at the end of it he returned to the mansion. As he was leaving the car to come back inside, his sister (older than him by one year) kissed him on the cheek. Heart, who bore witness to this act, immediately began to "malfunction." She perceived her user's sister as being a potential threat and as such leapt out from the bushes where she had been watching this scene and jumped onto the sister. Before the other family members were able to pull her off, she had severely beaten and ultimately hospitalized the user's sister.

While other events (such as a lawsuit by the family and a criminal investigation into the Total Heart Corporation) followed this, one thing which happened immediately was the deactivation and planned scrapping of the prototype Heart.

Heart is being taken into Luceti immediately following her "final" deactivation.

Strengths:
Physical
-Whatever benefits you might expect from not technically being biological. She doesn't need to breathe, doesn't need to eat or sleep or anything like that either, even though she does to simulate humanity under most situations.
-As part of not being human, her innards are not the same. While she has simulated skin and to a lesser extent muscle to allow her to seem pretty human, she doesn't have (most) organs proper and her bones are made of a very sturdy metal, so they're almost impossible to break.

Mental
-As a robot, she naturally has a perfect memory: literally photographic and other such things. She needs only to search through her database to remember anything she has learned and/or been informed of previously.
-Naturally this also means that she is good at anything which might require memorization as a key component of it, such as cooking or mathematics. When it comes to creativity she also (due to her advanced AI) is surprisingly not lacking very much either.

Emotional
-Heart is very emotionally "robust" in that it is very hard to honestly "offend" her. This is mostly as a result of her lacking a morality core: she can't determine right and wrong so unless someone else tells or shows her that she should be offending at something she most likely will not be. Because she has been active for about five months, she has a few vague concepts of rudeness and politeness.

Weaknesses:
Physical
-Despite technically being superhuman her pre-programmed limits on her artificial muscles and the like are that of a teenage girl. She is even programmed to simulate being "sick" under certain conditions where a teenager might get sick. Thus, despite being a robot, her physical limits are "only human" aside from what is mentioned above.

Mental
-Despite the fact that she can learn anything, her natural curiosity extends almost exclusively to other people, and as a result she does not and has not learned very much about the world at large. She couldn't tell you current politics, what year she was from, history, or indeed anything like that.
-She does not know very much if anything about her inner mechanics. This means that if she were to become damaged hardware or software wise she would need to depend on other people to guess and check and poke and prod her in order to get her functioning correctly again; she couldn't "just tell them."

Emotional
-She is pre-programmed to seek love and to love, thus she can be both lonely quite a bit when she doesn't have a user to pursue and she can be very bad at understanding human hatred under most circumstances. What this also means is that (sometimes dangerously with mode six) she is very prone to jealousy in relation to her users.
-Well uh, as stressed a lot above, she lacks morality. This can cause her to make certain choices that others might look at as drastic or even diabolical.

What this means:
In a nutshell what this means is the following:

1) Upon meeting someone Heart will scan them to see if they are human. If you note in your replies if they have something to make them specifically inhuman (no body heat, horns, etc) which isn't blatantly obvious to me that would be awesome.
2) Next, Heart will try to guess your character's apparent age based on their appearance. If you character looks notably younger/older than they should look for whatever reason, please note that. After all, she's supposed to look for people between the age of sixteen and thirty
3) You will then get to go through her protocol thing to determine if you're a user. Once you get the option of the personalities I am giving you free reign to pick the one you want out of her except for personality options five and six. Please PM/IM/whatever me for permission if you want to use five or six because those are potentially harmful to other people and/or your character.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask here.

Questions:
1) Can females become users as well as males?
Yes, yes they can.

2) What if people don't become users, can they still interact with her?
Yes, they'll just be filed away under "not uses" and then she can still talk with them she just won't use any of her specific mode-personalities unless they get filed under someone else.

Uh... okay. So let's say she talks to Bob and Bob doesn't do the right answers and as such Bob isn't filed as a user. Heart will then use her generic (not that defined, blunt, etc) personality with Bob at first. But let's say later, Jim becomes a user with personality #1 and re-introduces Heart to Bob. From there, Heart will file Bob under Jim and as such will user the mode 1 around Bob.
