part 1 Siwon returned after dark. Heechul was sitting on the couch, eating take out.
“Where’s Hankyung?”
“How were your folks?” Heechul asked.
Siwon shrugged. “Where’s Hankyung?”
“Dunno. Don’t care.”
“Did you guys get in a fight?”
Heechul snorted. “Siwon. You know that tack we’ve talked about you not possessing. Really bad time for it to show.”
Siwon bit his lip. “What would you suggest I do?”
Heechul shrugged and took another bite out of his dinner. Siwon couldn’t bear to go into his room. Instead he sat down next to Heechul and wrapped an arm around him.
“You don’t have to-“
“Shut up.” Heechul said as he leaned against Siwon’s shoulder. Siwon said nothing, just held him as Heechul’s shoulders shook.
“Siwon and Heechul are cuddling.” Henry supplied helpfully when Hankyung finally came out of his room.
“Henry. Stop spending time with Yesung and Kyuhyun. And if you insist on it, at least try to pick up habits from Ryeowook only.”
Henry jumped off the couch. “Oh that I learned from Zhou Mi.”
“Even better.”
“Care to share exactly what you said to Heechul?”
“Not really.” Hankyung looked at the closed door. “How do you know what they’re doing?”
“Siwon came in a few minutes ago. Wanted to know how you were.”
“What did you say?”
“Told him you’d been holed up in your room since Heechul left.” Henry chewed on his thumb. “Listen. Gege. I know it’s none of my business, but why?”
Hankyung laughed softly. “I wanted to. I really, really wanted to.”
Henry rested his hand on Hankyung’s shoulder. “I know I can’t really understand, me not being insane like yourself, but I can tell you that I don’t fault you.”
“Thanks Henry. It means a lot.”
Henry cracked a smile. “I figured it would.”
Hankyung pushed his shoulder with a soft laugh that died in his throat when he saw Siwon standing at the doorway.
“Hey.” Siwon said quietly.
Hankyung swallowed. “Hey.”
“Leaving now.” Henry muttered as he scurried off to his room.
“How’s Heechul?” Hankyung asked, sitting down.
Siwon looked at Hankyung. “He’s been better. A bit hungry; the take out wasn’t the best for him. He’s been spoiled by your food.” Hankyung couldn’t stop the smile that formed. “That’s not why I’m here though.”
Hankyung looked up. “Why did you come over? Wanted to check up on me?”
“It’s actually more selfish than that.” Siwon took a breath. “You know I’m bad with this stuff but, Hankyung. I like you.” Hankyung opened his mouth but Siwon held up a hand. “I like you. I’d even, I’d even like to be with you. It took some time for me to realize, but I really want that. But not right now. I need-“
“You need time.” Hankyung finished. “Because of last night.”
“Yeah.” Siwon looked at Hankyung. “You understand?”
Hankyung let out a breath. “I understand. And I respect it. Because I like you too.” Hankyung stood up and approached Siwon. Siwon hesitated but Hankyung continued forward and rested a hand on Siwon’s cheek. He swallowed as Hankyung leaned up and finally kissed him.
Siwon didn’t know what to do with his hands so they just stayed limp at his side while Hankyung grasped at his shoulders, pulling him closer. When they parted Siwon’s breathing was shallow.
“This is the part where you grab his shoulder and kiss him senseless.” Heechul commented dryly from the doorway. Siwon and Hankyung jumped away from each other guiltily. “Oh don’t stop on my account. I was enjoying the show.”
Hankyung muttered something.
Heechul stepped forward. “What was that?”
“I said you weren’t supposed to see that.”
Heechul rolled his eyes. “Oh well. I did. And I say, good for you. You deserve your ice cream truck.”
“Heechul.” Siwon tried but Heechul just shook his head.
“I say it because I’m a good friend.” Heechul said as he reached over and patted Siwon’s shoulder. “Now make your boyfriend make me food.”
Hankyung let out a breath and stepped away from Siwon. Siwon tensed up under Heechul’s hand until Hankyung finally spoke.
“Fine. I’ll make you your damn food.” He griped as he headed to the kitchen.
Heechul talked with both of them as Hankyung cooked. It took Hankyung a few times to get used to not jumping, but Siwon’s calm acceptance of the entire situation helped him relax. Heechul keeping conversation on the mundane helped as well.
Hankyung had laid out their dinner when someone knocked on the door. The three shared a look, obviously confused at the show of privacy, before Heechul sighed and stood up.
“Don’t trouble yourself.” He commented. “I’ll be glad to get the door. What are you doing here Seasoning?” Heechul asked when he opened the door. “And why are you knocking?”
“I heard about you three fighting.” He smiled, glancing at all of them. Siwon flushed red and Hankyung pointedly turned away. Heechul only stepped aside to let him in.
“Well, no need to worry about that anymore. The two of them are the happy couple now.” He gestured with his hand and followed Zhou Mi back to the table. Zhou Mi smiled at Siwon and Hankyung’s back; they had turned around to finish getting everything put out on the table. “Now why are you here again?”
“Oh. Kui Xian and Sungmin are having sex.” Zhou Mi pouted as he sat down at the table and helped himself to the meal.
“Life is tough as the mistress.” Heechul muttered, glaring halfheartedly at Siwon and Hankyung’s back as he too sat down.
“Yeah well, Sungmin doesn't have to be a selfish bitch about it.”
“Sungmin was there first.” Hankyung pointed out as he put more food on the table, food that was quickly delved into by Heechul. At Zhou Mi’s look he quickly continued. “I mean, they were friends first. And they did move in together first.” He turned back around.
Zhou Mi crossed his arms. “I slept with him first.”
“Yeah well.” Heechul shrugged and looked at Siwon press his hand shyly to Hankyung’s lower back as he guided him back to the table. “Love sucks.”
“Don’t say that!” Zhou Mi whined, oblivious to Siwon and Hankyung freezing at Heechul’s words. “The three of us have a system that works. We do.”
Heechul sighed and patted Zhou Mi’s wrist. “You’ll get your happily ever after.”
Zhou Mi smiled. It was interrupted by Sungmin storming in, shirt off. He pointed to Zhou Mi.
“Get out.” Zhou Mi looked confused. “Get out.”
“Sungmin?” Heechul asked.
“I want him out of here.” Sungmin got half way to throwing a plate before Siwon sprung into action and grabbed his wrist. Sungmin was strong, but Siwon was stronger.
Zhou Mi looked at Sungmin confused. He was even more confused when Kyuhyun came in a few moments later, nose bloody.
“Kui Xian! What happened?”
Kyuhyun was looking at Sungmin. “Sungmin. I thought we agreed this would be rational.”
“Rational?” Sungmin pulled against Siwon’s arm. “I love you. Love isn’t rational.”
“Kui Xian, what’s going on?”
“Stop talking!” Sungmin snapped and pulled harder against Siwon. Siwon didn’t let go, and Hankyung and Heechul went to help him.
The door to Henry’s room opened and Henry popped his head out, confused. He took one look at Sungmin and Kyuhyun and he entered the fray.
“What’s. Going. On.” Henry held his hands up as he pulled Sungmin from Siwon. Siwon only let Henry take Sungmin because he had learned that Sungmin wouldn’t hurt Henry, and even if he tried, Siwon was pretty sure they could handle Sungmin.
“Ask him.” Sungmin pointed to Kyuhyun. Zhou Mi had come beside Kyuhyun.
“Sungmin. I didn’t want a big scene. You know that.”
“Yeah well, you deserve it. Fucking three years. Three fucking years. That’s just how long we’ve been dating! Not even counting our years of friendship.”
Heechul rested his hand on Sungmin’s shoulder as Sungmin started to shake from repressed tears. “Can we please stop with the cryptic talk? Did you guys break up?”
Zhou Mi’s head spun to Kyuhyun and he said something in too fast Chinese. Kyuhyun heard it though and he nodded his head.
Sungmin’s shoulders shook more and both Henry and Heechul wrapped their arms tighter around him before pulling him to the couch.
“Maybe you should leave.” Heechul said. “I think we can handle it from here.” He wasn’t looking at Kyuhyun.
Siwon saw Zhou Mi reach and squeeze Kyuhyun’s hand before tearing his eyes away from Sungmin.
Kyuhyun left the room, hand tugging a reluctant Zhou Mi.
Heechul leaned down and ran his hand through Sungmin’s hair. Henry was rubbing his back, trying to calm him.
“What happened?” Heechul asked in a quiet voice.
Sungmin took a few heaving dry sobs before he started to speak in a quiet voice. “He said it was too much. He said he couldn’t stand the fighting anymore and I told him, I told him we’d stop. I told him the two of us didn’t need to fight, that we were making it work in our own way. But he said,” Sungmin sucked in a sob. “He said he’d already made up his mind.”
Henry patted Sungmin’s knee as Heechul rocked him.
“He didn’t even consult Mimi and I. He didn’t even ask us how we felt. He just thought he knew.”
“But you didn’t even like Zhou Mi like that.” Henry said, hand curling in Sungmin’s hair.
“But we love Kyuhyun! We would do anything to stay with him.” Sungmin looked at Henry. “We were making it work.”
“Did you explain this to him?”
“Yes! But he wouldn’t listen. He’d already decided that he wanted Mimi.” Sungmin let out another sob. “He always did.”
Siwon felt pretty hopeless off on the sideline as Henry and Heechul brought Sungmin into Henry’s room, offering him the bed for the night.
“I’m gonna stay here tonight.” Heechul told Siwon. “Just to make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid.”
Siwon’s eyes went wide and he looked fearfully at Henry’s room where he could hear Henry talking quietly to Sungmin. “You mean you think he’ll kill himself?”
Heechul scoffed. “No. I’m more worried he’s going to try and go back to Kyuhyun. And getting rejected again will just hurt more.” He pressed his hand against Siwon’s chest, pushing him back into their room. “Now spend the night cuddled up to Hankyung, and reflect on how lucky you are.”
“But-“
“And if you’re too much of virgin to not sleep in the same bed as your boyfriend because you’re afraid of sleeping with him, take my room and give him yours.” Heechul shut the door in between the apartments after he had finished his speech and Siwon was left blinking at the closed door.
He turned around to see Hankyung staring at his hands, seated on the couch.
“We should get to bed.” He finally said, taking hold of Hankyung’s wrists.
Hankyung jolted but then nodded, following Siwon into his room.
The next week was hard. The following morning Zhou Mi had come back into the apartment to talk to Sungmin and Heechul had finally allowed the two of them to see each other once he realized that all they were going to do was cry and hold one another. Neither had been lying when they said they were good friends.
“I never thought he’d do that.” Zhou Mi told Sungmin.
“I know.”
“I never wanted him to do that.”
“I know.” Sungmin looked sadly at Zhou Mi. “You’re going to stay with him, right?” Zhou Mi pulled back and looked at Sungmin. He slowly nodded and Sungmin wrapped an arm around his neck. “You’ll take good care of him, right?”
“Of course.”
Sungmin pulled Zhou Mi back into a hug.
The other problem was where Sungmin would live. His parents didn’t live in Seoul, and Sungmin didn’t want to leave the apartment complex. Shindong offered him the option of living with him, but with Kangin and Eeteuk the apartment was crammed enough.
“I don’t want to keep crowding in with you two.” Sungmin said as he pushed his breakfast around.
Hankyung and Henry sighed. Both felt like they had told Sungmin over and over again that he wasn’t a burden; despite the few times he actually acted human he had become quiet and shy.
“Hyung.” Henry said, hand on Sungmin’s wrist. “You can have my room. Ryeowook and Yesung have a spare room so I’ll just move in there.”
Sungmin shook his head. “I don’t want to displace anyone. And, don’t they use that room anyway?”
“For a studio.” Henry said, fixing a look on Heechul who had started the rumor about a bondage lair.
“Oh.” Sungmin went silent.
“Hankyung could move in with me.” Siwon spoke up, looking at Hankyung. When everyone looked at him he shrugged. “He practically lives there anyway.”
This was true. After the first night Hankyung had started to sleep in Siwon’s room. The arrangement wasn’t completely perfect yet but it was getting there.
“What if I don’t want him moving in?” Heechul asked, arms crossed. At Siwon’s hurt look Heechul sighed. “I’m not saying I don’t, it was just hypothetical. I have to deal with you two anyway. What’s a few more hours added to the 20 I already have to deal with you being all couply.”
Siwon turned to Hankyung, who was looking at Heechul. “Please?” Siwon asked.
Hankyung bit his lip. “I’ll think about it.”
Siwon smiled and turned to Sungmin. “There. Problem solved.”
Hankyung paced in his room. He heard Heechul flipping through the channels on Siwon’s television; they’d moved it to the living room a couple days ago. Hankyung rubbed his face and took a deep breath. He’d thought about the past week, since he had moved in with Siwon. Hankyung had hoped that since the first week had gone smoothly he would eventually forget about Heechul and focus on his relationship with Siwon. It was, after all, what he had wanted, well at least until he had slept with Heechul.
This however had not been the case. Living in close quarters with Heechul, who apparently had gotten over their night together, and had no problem going back to the way things were before this whole mess had started, had been tougher than Hankyung imagined. Even though Heechul spent a lot of his time with Sungmin and Zhou Mi, they still met up during dinner, and it was still hard because when Hankyung looked at Heechul all he saw was him arching up into Heechul’s palm, and every time he kissed Siwon he felt, knew, there was supposed to be a second set of hands on him.
Tension had arisen because Hankyung was tense, and so he would snap. Heechul had thrown a plate at him yesterday; it had missed, and the fight didn’t escalate after the plate broke but Hankyung felt bad. He was sure that if he had just fixed this first problem, that guilt that racked him every time he saw Heechul being there for Sungmin, proving that he had a heart despite being an ass, things would be easier.
If they could be friends, Hankyung knew he could live with Heechul, even if he couldn’t live with Heechul.
“Heechul.” Hankyung asked once he flung open his door.
“What do you want?” Heechul asked. “Need to ridicule me more?”
He stepped out into the living room and Heechul didn’t look up from the television. “I want to apologize.”
“Oh wow, someone found their maturity. Was it in Siwon?”
“Heechul.” Hankyung folded his arms. “Don’t make this harder than it already is.”
Heechul arched his brow, looked at Hankyung finally and then mimicked him, leaning back into the couch. “Then don’t do it. I don’t need your pity-guilt.”
Hankyung sighed and flung himself down next to Heechul. “You’re really hard to get along with.”
“It’s part of my charm.”
“Can you shut up for two moments?”
“No.”
“I don’t know why I’m even bothering.”
“I don’t know either and it would probably benefit us both if you just stopped.”
Hankyung crossed his arms and they sat in silence for the moment until he spoke again. “I’m sorry for what I said before. About you being a bad friend. You’ve shown that you’re really the opposite.” When Hankyung glanced over at Heechul he wasn’t surprised to she him biting his lip in an attempt to stay quiet. He had been shocked that Heechul hadn’t interrupted him mid-apology.
“You’re forgiven.” Heechul let out in a rush. “Now let’s never speak of this again.”
Hankyung slowly nodded as Heechul turned to him and he offered Heechul a tentative smile. “Friends.”
“Were we really ever? I always thought you were just my cook.”
Hankyung sighed and stood up. “I’m not cooking for you tonight.”
“I want pork.” Heechul called after him as he shut his door.
“Not cooking for you tonight.”
“And don’t skimp on the pork. I want actual meat on my plate, not just a tiny strip and a lot of vegetables like last week. If you don’t have enough just don’t give any to Henry and Sungmin. They can fend for themselves.” Heechul waited for any protest and when he didn't hear any he smirked and continued to flip through the channels.
Siwon came home to find Heechul poking at something that Hankyung was cooking. He put down his backpack and advanced them, looking over their shoulders to see bits of meat being mixed with vegetables and rice.
“What are you two up to? And why was the door locked?” He asked, stepping away when Hankyung waved his arm.
“I don’t want to share dinner tonight because Hankyung doesn’t have enough meat to give me a fair share.”
Siwon glanced at Hankyung who just shrugged as he plated the meal. “I see. But what about Sungmin and Henry?”
“Take out exists for a reason.” Heechul snapped. He silenced as Hankyung put his plate in front of him and he grinned. “Thank you Hannie.”
Hankyung just rolled his eyes and pushed Siwon into his seat. Siwon had to admit he was taken aback by the swift change in their relationship, though not upset.
“You two are okay now?”
Heechul waved his hand, his mouth full.
“Yeah, we’re okay.” Hankyung muttered, eating his food at a reasonable rate. “Eat up, alright.” He patted Siwon’s hand and traded a smile with him.
Another week had passed and it was getting easier. The initial awkwardness that had been there the first week had all but disappeared. Siwon supposed they had worked it out while he had been at school. He was glad too, because that meant no more broken plates. He was glad they were friends, so he couldn’t understand why his stomach dropped whenever he came home and saw the two of them cooking in silence. It was irrational because Heechul was his friend and Hankyung was his boyfriend, and sure they had slept together one night, and Siwon hadn’t slept with Hankyung yet, but it wasn’t like he was jealous.
“Do you ever think about that night?” Siwon asked the next night as Hankyung climbed into bed, pajama pants on.
Hankyung turned to him, confusion knitted in his brow. “What night?”
“The night Heechul took us out.”
“Oh.” Hankyung was silent and Siwon flicked off the light; he wasn’t sure he could watch Hankyung’s face during this talk. Hankyung waited to continue until Siwon had climbed into bed with him. “That night.” He breathed out.
Siwon waited for him to continue but when he didn’t Siwon sucked in a breath. “Yeah. That night.” He felt Hankyung curl into him and he threw an arm around him, pulling him close. He wondered again why they hadn’t slept together; even though he knew it was because of him, he still wondered if Hankyung and Heechul…
“No.” Hankyung finally whispered against his neck. “Why would I?” He laughed softly and Siwon pressed a kiss to his forehead, letting him get away with the lie.
“Okay. Good night Hankyung.”
“Night Siwon.” Hankyung mumbled, hands scratching at his back as he tugged him tighter and closer to him.
Siwon thought it might have been odd that he didn’t feel upset about this revelation. The next morning he realized he needed to talk to someone that wasn’t his mind or Heechul. Someone with outside perspective.
“Sungmin…” Siwon trailed off as Sungmin glanced up at him from the couch. Siwon looked at him from the doorway between their rooms and he entered once Sungmin nodded to him. Siwon resisted the urge to ruffle his hair because if there was one thing the he had learned from these two weeks with Sungmin crashing, it was that he wasn’t as girly as he appeared, and he hated being treated like a kid.
“What’s up?” He asked, setting down his bowl of cereal and patting the seat next to him.
Siwon sat down. “I have something I wanted to ask you.”
“Oh.” Sungmin cooed and turned to him, wrapping his arm around Siwon’s bicep. “Gossip talk?”
Siwon laughed and shook his head, trying to calm his nerves. “Relationship advice.”
“Even better!” Sungmin’s eyes lit up and he rested his chin on Siwon’s shoulder. “Ask away.”
“What.” Siwon stopped himself and tried to find the words he was looking for before starting again. “What was it like? The threesome.”
Sungmin went still and then slowly pulled away from Siwon’s shoulder. He kept his arm looped around his though. “Why do you want to know?” Siwon pursed his lip. Sungmin continued when Siwon didn’t answer. “I. I thought it was working for us. We had,” Sungmin cut himself off with a laugh, “fun. I mean, there were three of us so it never got boring; someone always had an idea. Someone was always around, always there for you.”
“How did you share?”
Sungmin let out another laugh. “We didn’t. That was our problem.” He stopped and then took another breath. “That’s a lie. We shared in the beginning, but. I just don’t find Mimi attractive, and he doesn’t find me attractive either. I like him, love him even, but only as a friend.”
“That was the problem.” Siwon echoed and Sungmin nodded.
“I’ve always been in love with Kyuhyun, but Mimi got him first. I tried to be a good friend about it, I really did, but I’m selfish.” Sungmin turned his eyes to Siwon and set his jaw. “Don’t put yourself through it unless you all agree.”
“I never said-“
“I didn’t accuse you.” Sungmin smiled slightly, finger stroking Siwon’s arm. “I was just mentioning.” His smile turned wicked as he trailed off and looked up at Siwon through his lashes. “In case you were going to offer an opening in your relationship to me.”
Siwon balked and his mouth opened and closed as he tried to find the words. “Sungmin. I. You see. Really. I like.”
Sungmin laughed out loud, unable to contain it. He fell forward with the strength of his laugh, right into Siwon’s shoulder. Siwon awkwardly wrapped his arms around Sungmin until he had calmed down enough from his laughing fit.
“Oh, that was priceless.” Sungmin breathed out between laughs as he pulled himself up. “Utterly priceless. You should have seen your face.” He let out another string of laughs as he patted Siwon’s cheek. Siwon tried to retaliate but Sungmin cut him off. “Don’t try and force what’s not there. You and Hankyung have something good. If you want Heechul but Hankyung doesn’t…” He trailed off and smiled, patting Siwon’s face gently. “You’re a good person Siwon. I do kinda wish you had been extending an offer to me. Hankyung’s attractive.” He smiled wide to show Siwon that he was just teasing and Siwon let out a breath.
“You’ll find someone.” He tried to reassure but Sungmin only laughed.
“I don’t think I can handle anyone. Maybe I’ll try a girl. That one friend of Heechul’s was cute.”
Henry walked into the apartment carrying groceries; he and Sungmin had decided it would be a fun experiment to cook together. He gave a look to Siwon and Sungmin who were still laughing, shook his head and went to put away the groceries. Sungmin calmed down enough to watch Henry set up their cooking space.
He sighed. “Or, you know, I could stick with just one boy.”
Henry turned around, looking confused. “What are you talking about now? I thought you were still hung up over Kyuhyun.” He said it lightly, and even if he hadn’t, his tripped up Korean couldn’t have conveyed any emotion but humor.
Sungmin beamed at Henry and stood up, going over to help him. “Just making fun of Siwon. Heechul and Hankyung have converted him.”
Henry scrunched up his nose and shook his head. “I will never be innocent again after that day. Worst. Sight. Ever.” Sungmin laughed and Siwon left the two of them to their cooking.
It took Siwon another week to finally piece everything together: the jealousy towards Heechul and Hankyung’s relationship, even when they didn’t have a relationship, his stomach falling out every time he was alone with either of them, as if he felt the same for both of them. He even approached Kyuhyun about it, and while Kyuhyun hadn’t been encouraging, the talk was useful.
“Just make sure you, they, can handle it,” he had said, “it’s really not as fun as you may think. Two guys fighting over you rarely is.”
He approached Heechul one night that Hankyung was working late. “We need to talk.”
“Have you mastered that skill called tack yet?” Heechul asked, looking up from the television with a grin on his face.
“It’s about Hankyung.”
“Oh my favourite topic.” Heechul smirked and patted the seat next to him. “Are you finally ready for ‘the talk’? Now my advice is, if you’re nervous, just let Hannie top the first time and-“
“Heechul!” Siwon looked away, trying to let him not see him blush.
“Yes?” Heechul asked, grinning as he pulled his knee up to his chest.
“I’m not nearly as naïve as I look.” He mumbled.
“So you know how it works? Did your books tell you?” Heechul teased good-naturedly.
Siwon blushed again. “Will you just listen to what I want to ask before giving me advice?”
“You aren’t asking fast enough.” When Siwon sighed again Heechul grinned. “What do you want?”
Siwon took a deep breath. “I like you. And I like Hankyung.”
“Go on.” Heechul crossed his arms and leaned back.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about this, trying to fathom if this would even work; if it would be worth even mentioning. But I just can’t stop thinking about it, about us.”
“Wow. We’ve really turned you into a whore.”
Siwon leveled Heechul with a look and when he realized it wasn’t working he sighed. “Will you, do you even? Am I crazy?”
“Probably. But you’re in good company.” Heechul patted Siwon’s cheek. He pulled back his hand and Siwon grabbed his wrist. Heechul arched his brow in a challenge.
“Can I?” Siwon asked, his eyes traveling down to Heechul’s lips before flicking back up.
Heechul smirked and pressed a teasing kiss to his lips. Siwon gasped, a sharp intake of breath. Heechul pulled back and threw an arm around Siwon’s neck before kissing him again. This time was deeper and Siwon gasped. When they pulled away he was gasping for air and Heechul was just smirking as he swept his tongue over his lower lip.
“Now how to tell Hannie that his boyfriend is a whore?” Heechul asked no one imparticular as he pressed a kiss to Siwon’s neck, causing him to jump. Siwon made a sound in the back of his throat but Heechul cut him off with another kiss. “Just leave it to me.” He whispered against Siwon’s lips.
“I’m not so sure…” Siwon trailed off when Heechul leveled him with a look, followed by another kiss.
“Siwon. Relationships are about trust. So trust me.”
Siwon wasn’t so sure it was a good idea though, because he knew he was a dead give away that something was up. He couldn’t help it though. He was nervous and so he kept jumping even before Hankyung got home. Heechul had decided that to show their appreciation they would attempt to cook for Hankyung. Heechul handled the knife, despite being under strict orders from Hankyung to never touch anything sharp, because Siwon was just too shaky. Hankyung came home to the smell of at least something cooking.
“What are you guys doing?” Hankyung asked warily.
“Making you a dinner.” Heechul called with a laugh.
“What did you guys do?” Hankyung asked, peeking into his room to see if anything was broken, or misplaced. He looked back at them to see Siwon pointedly not looking at him and Heechul trying to stop from laughing.
“Nothing.” Heechul trilled as he plated the food. “Now come and enjoy this home cooked meal, that we cooked for you. It’s made with love.”
“And arsenic?” Hankyung asked as he sniffed his plate. Heechul sneered but then smiled as he handed Siwon’s his plate, and took a seat. “Have you guys tasted this?”
Siwon still wasn’t looking at Hankyung. “You can have the first bite.” He said in what he hoped was a steady voice.
Hankyung sighed and brought the chopsticks up to his mouth. When he didn’t immediately spit it out Heechul and Siwon both bit into it.
“It’s good.” Hankyung complimented them after he was finished and Siwon took his plate. “Now, what did you do?”
Siwon’s back tensed up by the sink but Heechul rattled off about how Hankyung was ungrateful for not appreciating a gesture of kindness. Siwon listened to their pointless banter and took a breath, wondering if he could go through with this. He dried his hands and turned back to the living room where Heechul had dragged Hankyung to the couch and flipped on a movie.
Siwon watched from the kitchen as Heechul curled up onto Hankyung, leg flung into his lap and hands playing his hair. Hankyung playfully tried to get away but after a couple of attempts and Heechul tugging on his hair Hankyung let him settle into running his fingers through it. Siwon took another breath and went to sit beside Hankyung after shutting off the lights. He tentatively put his arm around him as Heechul stretched out his leg to cover both of their laps. Siwon’s other hand went down to play absently with Heechul’s foot and ankle. He made sure to be gentle though because Heechul would have no problem kicking either of them if tickled.
Siwon felt that Hankyung was tense next to him at the beginning but by the middle of the film he had relaxed. Heechul had tossed his arms around Hankyung’s neck and was pressed fully against his side, head curled onto his shoulder. Siwon wasn’t sure that it was a comfortable position for him but he seemed alright.
At some point near the end though, right around the climax, Siwon felt Hankyung tense up again. He glanced over and through the flickering light he could see Heechul whispering something in Hankyung’s ear. He couldn’t hear though, and could only guess what it was from Hankyung’s tight expression. Siwon kept glancing back and at some point Heechul’s whispering had turned to kisses being pressed down Hankyung’s neck.
Siwon swallowed, wondering if this was Heechul’s way of handling it. He wasn’t sure he liked it as he felt Heechul pull his leg away from his lap to put it flat between him and Hankyung. Heechul swung himself into Hankyung’s lap then, landing roughly before kissing him. Siwon’s eyes went wide as he gave up all pretense of not noticing. Hankyung seemed to freeze, but Heechul’s hands on the side of his face stopped him from moving when he did try.
Siwon’s breath quickened as he watched Heechul press closer to Hankyung and he couldn’t stop himself from taking one of Hankyung’s tense hands and bringing it up to his mouth. The hand went limp once Siwon pressed a kiss to the palm of it, and Siwon tentatively tried pressing his tongue to the pads of Hankyung’s fingers. Hankyung jerked upward into Heechul, hips arching off the couch.
Siwon could hear Hankyung’s ragged breath when Heechul finally stopped kissing his lips in favor of traveling down to his neck.
“This is wrong.” Hankyung mumbled between quickened breath as Heechul pressed a kiss to his neck and Siwon took one of his fingers down his throat. “Threesomes don’t work.” He tried to protest, eyes shut tight as Siwon moved closer, finally kissing Hankyung’s neck once Heechul had moved lower.
“I like you.” Siwon muttered, kissing Hankyung finally. Hankyung returned the kiss, adding a bit of tongue for only a moment before he pulled away to whimper. Siwon glanced down at Heechul on the floor, finger sliding up Hankyung’s cock. Siwon’s breath quickened as he pressed a biting kiss to Hankyung’s throat.
“I like you too.” Siwon heard Heechul mutter, and Hankyung let out a strangled moan while arching his hips.
“No,” he tried to get out. “This always ends up, him and you,” he let out another whimper as Siwon kissed his collarbone, “him and me, you and me, not even that sometimes.” He broke off with a groan and Heechul spoke.
“While I’m rather impressed with your vocal ability under pressure, can you shut up now and enjoy this? I already told you. We both want this.”
Hankyung’s head rolled forward and he looked Siwon in the eyes. Siwon smiled at him and then Hankyung’s head rolled back as Heechul pressed his tongue to his cock again.
“They don’t work.” Hankyung tried again, hands finding their way into both Siwon and Heechul’s hair.
Siwon smirked and flicked his tongue against Hankyung’s nipple, causing him to arch up. “Just enjoy this.” He mumbled against his skin and Hankyung let out a ragged moan.
After Hankyung came, hips arched off the couch, he was left staring at Heechul calmly licking his finger, and even offering Siwon a taste. Hankyung closed his eyes when Siwon finally tentatively took a taste and he let out a whimper.
Heechul glanced at Hankyung and grinned. “I have the best ideas ever.”
“My idea.” Siwon retorted, hands playing with Hankyung’s hair.
Hankyung cracked an eye. “I haven’t even agreed to anything.”
Heechul gave him a look, before reaching over and pulling Siwon to him. “I can give you another reason to say yes.” He smirked and then kissed Siwon over Hankyung.
Hankyung let out another moan.
Henry screamed the next morning and then Siwon was pretty sure he went around knocking on everyone’s door to tell them that Siwon, Heechul and Hankyung were finally together. Sungmin, however, just popped his head in and grinned at them.
“That’ll teach him to knock.” Heechul groused from where he was squashed up on the couch. They hadn’t moved from the couch to either of their bedrooms at all during the night and Siwon thought that maybe in the future they should.
“Hannie,” Heechul sent him a pout, “cook me breakfast.”
Hankyung looked away from Heechul and was about to say no when he saw Siwon’s similar pout. He sighed. “No. I’m not doing this. Not if Siwon is going to follow your every command Heechul.”
Siwon grinned and pulled Heechul over for a kiss while Hankyung groused and started making breakfast.
“I always knew I liked a naked cook best.” Heechul commented, followed by a whistle of approval. Hankyung answered with a rude gesture.
“What are you going to do about the bed?” Sungmin asked from their couch. Siwon looked up from the kitchen table but Heechul was the one who answered.
“What’s wrong with the bed?”
“Nothing, I’m just looking out for you guys. It must be uncomfortable.”
“What?” Hankyung asked, finished with the dishes. “The bed? Only because Heechul kicks in his sleep. So we make him sleep on the floor.”
Heechul shot Hankyung a dirty look and then threw a pout to Siwon. “That’s only because you don’t give me enough attention.”
“I give you plenty of attention. I’m with you most of the day. I cook for you. What else do you want?” Hankyung asked sitting down next to Siwon and looking over his shoulder at his homework. The work made no sense to him so he didn’t bother to make sense out of it.
“Flowers. And a teddy bear.”
“Henry bought me a teddy bear.” Sungmin piped up and the look Hankyung shot him told him that was unnecessary.
“See!” Heechul waved at Siwon and Hankyung. “They aren’t even dating and Sungmin gets a stuffed animal.”
Hankyung let out a sigh. “What would you do with the stuffed animal?”
Heechul shrugged. “I don’t know. Keep it in the closet.” Hankyung sighed and then Heechul continued. “Well what am I supposed to do with it? It’s not like I can keep it on the bed. There are three of us, and there’s barely enough room for that.”
Sungmin laughed. “Which goes back to my original point; what are you guys doing about the bed?”
Hankyung let out a sigh, but the next morning the three of them went mattress shopping and on the way home they picked up a stuffed cat for Heechul.
He named it Champagne and it took up residence on their couch. Heechul would even make it hiss at anyone who tried to sit on the couch. Hankyung found it childish, but Siwon seemed to have no problem playing along with it.
“Do you need me to feed her?” He asked Heechul and Hankyung wasn’t sure if he was being serious or not.
Heechul looked thoughtful but then he shook his head and went back to peeling vegetables. “It’s alright. I’ll feed her later.”
Hankyung rolled his eyes as he watched Siwon pat the stuffed cat on the head. “I think you love that thing more than us Heechul.”
Heechul grinned. “That’s because I do.”
Hankyung laughed and tried to make a retort but it was cut off by Siwon wrapping his arms around Heechul’s waist and pressing a kiss to his nape.
“It’s alright if you don’t love us as much as you love Champagne.” Siwon muttered against Heechul’s ear. It was still loud enough for Hankyung to hear though. “We’ll both still love you because we know that’s just the way you are.”
Hankyung tried to protest but when he saw Heechul spin around in Siwon’s arms, hands tying themselves together behind his neck, the words died in his throat.
“That’s the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me before.” Heechul said, smiling, as he stood on his toes to kiss Siwon. He glanced at Hankyung, who threw his hands up and walked over to them.
“It was very sweet.” At Heechul’s teasing grin Hankyung rolled his eyes and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Made sweeter by the fact that it’s true.”
“Damn right.” Heechul said as he kissed Hankyung properly, while Siwon’s hands pushed them back against the counter.
Siwon grew up learning that lying to his parents was the worst crime ever. However Siwon never even bothered trying to tell his family about Hankyung and Heechul. He was pretty sure his parents didn’t need to know about that.
