I knew it. I knew I couldn't trust you not to use the FAB dalek as an excuse to make me pay YET AGAIN for that regrettable mistake with the plunger. Your bruises and swelling only lasted for a week or two - I should know, I'm still haunted by the sight of them - and anyway, they were mostly covered by your blouse - but how long are you going to make me suffer in public in return? Anyway I wouldn't have suggested we go there except there wasn't a lot else open and I couldn't face another night of fake ambience and faker beer at the varsity bar - how anyone can drink Tetley's and Boddington's at all is beyond me, never mind as much as you managed to put away the night before. At least I'm not the one who started singing crusty old sea shanties in an alternative music venue. Some of us have to live in this country after the rest of you have gone home, you know. Though admittedly the kids on the dancefloor didn't seem to mind quite so much one the DJ had miked the mad Canadians and added a techno backbeat
