Hyung... Please open the door.
It was 1:10 am. Myungsoo quickly got up from his slumber upon receiving the message. His back hurts from sleeping on the couch, but that does not matter anymore, he was relieved hearing their doorbell ringing repeatedly.
He opened the door half asleep. "Ya! Sungjong, wha--"
An image of Sungjong dripping wet from the rain came into view. "Sorry I woke you up."
"What happened to you?" Myungsoo rushed to his room to retrieve some towels. Sungjong proceeded to the kitchen since sitting on the fluffy couch would not be an option.
The moment Myungsoo handed Sungjong the towel, the latter responded with a sneeze. "Ugh colds."
"I'll make you some coffee." Myungsoo then proceeded to the counter to prepare his offer. "So where have you been?"
"I had dinner with friends after our filming. I forgot my umbrella so I was kind of stranded somewhere."
"Why didn't you call?"
"Would there be any difference if I call you though? Would you go to where I was?" Sungjong made it sound as if the task was that impossible.
Myungsoo sighed. "Yes."
Moments of silence. Neither of them changed the topic. It was awkward, it was strangulating.
When Myungsoo finished the coffee, Sungjong timidly extended his hand to reach the cup. The moment the coffee touched his lips he spat it out and groaned, "Ugh. Bitter."
"What is?" Myungsoo acting surprised but in actuality expecting the scenario.
"The coffee, what else?" Sungjong raised an eyebrow.
"Do you want some sugar?" Myungsoo stood up from his seat.
"Yes, plea--" the next thing Sungjong knew Myungsoo's face was inches away from him, although his expression was blank, his eyes tells that he is disappointed. Sungjong backed a bit as his reflex, and almost fell off his chair. "What are you doing?" Sungjong's voice was soft and nervous.
Myungsoo smirked. "Sugar." He answered in the same dynamic.
"What's going on?" The two turned their heads at the same time, and found a sluggish Sungyeol peeking from the corridor.
Myungsoo backed away from Sungjong. “I w-was just practicing my lines for the drama,” he stuttered. At the corner of his eye he could see Sungjong trying hard not to laugh.
“Oh really? What kind of scene?” Sungyeol smiled teasingly.
“I think the scene where the leading lady asks what a man feels when he likes a girl.” Sungjong excused, pretending to sip on the coffee Myungsoo gave him. “He’s good. I think it will be a good drama.”
“It depends on the chemistry, I guess. The leading lady then should be as gorgeous as you to fit the scene, Sungjong.” Sungyeol snatched Sungjong’s cup and greedily drank the coffee. “Or else it’d be like this coffee. Bitter.”
“What comes around goes around. Go back to bed Sungyeol-hyung.” Sungjong commanded (yes commanded, he’s not called maknae on top for nothing).
“Yes Sir.” Sungyeol responded, and gave Myungsoo the cup. “Myungsoo, throw this coffee away, will you?” He whispered. “Throw it along with your bitter feelings today.” Myungsoo was unable to reply since Sungyeol ran back to his room. With that, he went straight to the sink.
Once again, it’s just the two of them. “Myungsoo…” Sungjong stood up and shyly moved beside Myungsoo. “I’m sorry for today, I made you worry.”
“It’s fine, it’s no big deal.” He poured the remaining coffee on the sink and watched as it goes down the drain so that he would not be looking at Sungjong.
“Hmm-mm.” The younger lightly pat Myungsoo’s back and turn to leave the kitchen. “Okay. I’m going to bed. Let’s have dinner tomorrow, 6pm. I’ll message you.”
“What did you say?” Shocked, he turned around and found Sungjong gone. “What did just happen?” He asks himself.
“Oh.” Sungjong popped out from the corridor, surprising Myungsoo. “By the way, thanks for today. It was sweet.”
“What is?”
“The coffee, what else?” Sungjong winked. “Goodnight.”

(Yay! Sorry if this is so pointless I just wanted to write my stress away in some fluffy story like this lol and I know people are missing MyungJong coz I do!
I actually made this plot last year that’s why the setting was before My Lovely Girl started, I only had the motivation to do this now. Sorry, my writing is rusty.)
