Sometimes I feel that I am all the places I have been. Ditto coffee I've drunk and bus rides I've taken and people people people I have loved and loved and loved.
The other night we were in my room and I finished Emmett's portrait and it was real late at night and he said to me, "I'm tired. If I don't get going now I'll never make it back to Siberia."
These things have something to do with each other.
I am currently in a computer lab in the southeast of France, in a town called Aix-en-Provence, and there are students from all over the world sitting around me clacking away and it makes it a little embarassing at times to laugh or smile too big or get a little choked up or even produce a tear about something, and I thought about that while reading this, but when I read the part about speaking every language in the world and someone came in the room and asked her friend if his foot was feeling better (in French) and he responded that Yeah, it's doing alright, but more importantly, how are you? (in French) and I realized I was reading a poem in English and understanding a conversation in French at the same time, and I thought "Hey, I'm on my way I guess" and fuck what they think because I know they want to have their eyes get a little misty at something beautiful, too. How's that for a run-on sentence?

Drew friend! It is so so good to hear from you; I was sitting and eating noodles with the crew the other day and we definitely felt that a certain something was missing.... it was not the pasta sauce. I hope you are adventuring and smiling loudly. Huuuug.

You came to Binghamton, NY a little while back at a reading sponsered by Matt Siegl (probably spelled that wrong) I was there and kind of fell in love. Your poetry is awsome (so is Yevtushenko's). Just wanted to say hi.
Okay so more than a little while back...As I get older time seems to become less and less important. I hope I never have to have a desk job, I don't think I'd be too good at it.
